Floyd Clinton Farrington, age 77 of Jefferson, the Ebenezer community, died Monday, October 13, 2003 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Farrington was born October 17, 1925 in Ashe County to the late James and Lola Farrington. Mr. Farrington served in WWII and survived the Battle of the Bulge. He married
Dona Lou Alonzo on January 30, 1960. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. Rev. Ray Shumate, Elder Floyd South and Rev. Kirby McNeill will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 7:00 till 9:00 PM, Wednesday October 15th at Badger Funeral Home. Pearl Osborne McCoy age 93 of Creston died Friday, November 28, 2003 at the Ashe Living Center. Mrs. McCoy was born on August 19, 1910 in Ashe County to the late John H. Osborne and Rettie Roten Osborne. She married
Paul S. McCoy who preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at the Badger Chapel. Rev. Darrell Graybeal and Rev. Mike Farmer will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 on Sunday at Badger Funeral Home. James Edward “Jim” Miller age 75 of West Jefferson, NC died Sunday, November 30, 2003 at the Brithaven of Wilkesboro Nursing Home. Mr. Miller was born on March 22, 1928 in West Jefferson, NC to Edward and Elizabeth Vannoy Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Billie Parsons, and brother Jack D. Miller. Mr. Miller was a Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 5, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev.
