Carrie McNeill Barker, age 95 of West Jefferson, NC died Friday, January 16, 2004 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Barker was born August 8, 1908 in Ashe County to the late Addison and Melissa McNeill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett Barker. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, January 18, 2004 at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. J. C. Norton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barker-Eller-McNeill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 till 9:00 PM. Saturday, January 17th at Badger Funeral Home. Mrs. Barker is survived by: Sons: C. Ethel Thacker, age 93 of Swansboro, NC, died Sunday, January 11, 2004 at the Crystal Coast Rehabilitation Center in Morehead City, NC. Mrs. Thacker was born September 18, 1910 in Norfolk, VA to the late William and Rosa Petree. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thacker was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Thacker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at the North Beaver Baptist Church. Rev. David Blackburn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Calloway Cemetery. Angela Marie Dancy, age 18 of West Jefferson died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. She was born in Boone, NC on August 17, 1985, daughter of Johnny Lee Dancy and Debra Widner Dancy. Angela loved animals, especially horses. Her maternal grandparents, Lamuel Widner and Delray Mahaffey Widner preceded her in death. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 19, 2004 at the Bristol Baptist Church. Rev. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Edna Sturgill, Carrie Richardson and Floss Milam, and 8 brothers; Tom, Floyd, Fred, Glenn, Gwyn, Todd, Carl and Roy Eller. She was preceded in death by her husband; William Fred Severt, her son; Benny Severt, and grandson; Jeffery Severt. She was a member of the Orion Baptist Church in Jefferson, NC. She loved to quilt and was known for her quilts throughout the community. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 12, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev.
