Susie Alice Elliott

West Asheville - Susie Alice Laughter Elliott, 87, formerly of 56 Carrier Street died
Friday, November 15, 2002 following a period of declining health.
Mrs. Elliott was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was the daughter of the late Lucius T. Laughter, Sr. and Jessie Mauck Laughter Wallin and the wife of Jacob Franklin Elliott who died
September 5, 1998.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church where a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her son, Bill Elliott and wife, De Ann of Asheville; daughter, Mary Frances Hill and husband, Michael of Sebastian, Florida; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held Monday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Anders-Rice Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Eldridge L. Fox
July 10, 1936 - November 21, 2002
Candler - Eldridge Locke Fox, 66, of 4 Asbury Place died
Thursday November 21, 2002 at the Mtn. Area Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Madison County, he was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was a 1954 graduate of Sand Hill High School and attended Western Carolina Teachers College and Mars Hill College. He served 6 years in the U.S. Army and was discharged on July 31, 1962 as a Corporal First Class Cryptographer stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri and Ft. Bragg, N.C. He was the owner of Asheville’s own Kingsmen Quartet and a lifetime member and Hall Of Fame member of both the Southern Gospel Music Association and Gospel Music Association. He was member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and the Hominy Lodge #491 and the Grand York Rite.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Belvia and Denver Fox and an infant daughter, Debra Renee Fox.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita Johnson Fox of the home; daughter, Terri Lynne and husband Lee Cutshall; sons, Timothy Calvin Fox and Gregory Eldridge Fox and wife Robin Rhymer Fox all of Asheville; grandchildren, Brittany Dayle Fox and Jonathan Kingslee Cutshall; brother, Vaughn Fox; special niece, Becky Fox Thompson; Mary Beth, Megan, David and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Ridgeway Baptist Church with the Revs. Jackie Collins, Squire Parsons, Ray Talley and Cecil Fox officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery
with Chris Scorsone, Eric McKinney, Jeff Collins, David Johnson, Tim Surrett and Danny Shook serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be, Brother Rankin “Bud” Hipp, Maurice Templeton, Little Joe Brown, Randy Flack and all past Kingsmen Quartet Members.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.

Jack "Bo" McKinney
August 2, 1943 - November 27, 2002
Leicester - Jack Hugh “Bo” McKinney, 59, of 168 Moore’s Valley Rd. died
Wednesday, November 27, 2002.
A native of Tampa, Fl. he resided in Centerville, Tn. for 20 years prior to moving to Buncombe County in 1987. He was a son of the late Hugh and Edna Elizabeth Rust McKinney and was also preceded in death by his brother, “Skipper” McKinney. He formerly attended Corinth Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
Albert Clubb
May 28, 1927 - November 29, 2002
Alexander - Albert Clubb, 75, of 16 Sweet Pea Drive, died
Friday November 29, 2002 at Asheville V.A. Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was formerly employed with Beacon Manufacturing Company and was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Alexander. He was a W.W.II Army Veteran serving in the Philippines and was a member of the D.A.V. and V.F.W Post #891.
He was a son of the late Franklin Marion and Dora Leona Ledbetter Clubb. He was also preceded in death by a son, Howard “Buddy” Clubb and daughters, Barbara Jean Waldrup and Diana Rose Clubb.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years of marriage, Wanda Mae Hensley Clubb of the home; daughter, Sandra Bryson and husband, Ray M. of Alexander; son, Larry S. ”Steve” Clubb of Asheville; sisters, Julia Jones of Leicester and Rachel Rogers of Hickory; brother, Curtis Clubb of Asheville; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Bobby Gibson, Carroll Ingle and Roy McPeters officiating. Burial will be in Brick United Methodist Church Cemetery
with military rites conducted by the Erwin High School Jr. R.O.T.C.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the home
William Cornelius "Bill" Connelly
April 1, 1915 - December 29, 2002
Asheville - William “Bill” Cornelius Connelly, 87, of 445-A Chunns Cove Rd. died
Sunday, December 29, 2002 at Mission St. Joseph’s Health System.
A native of Passaic, NJ, he had resided in Buncombe County since 1988. He was the son of the late William and Trina Warner Connelly and the husband of the late Alice Frances Vandersande Connelly who died
in 1989.
Surviving are his son, Thom Connelly of the home; daughter, Patricia Pellegrino and husband John of Morristownship, NJ; grandchildren, Daniel and Stephen Pellegrino; sister, Cora Reinhardt of Fairlawn, NJ; brother, Babe Connelly of Glen Rock, NJ.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery
with the Rev. Randy Melton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 PM Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
Ruth Gertrude Robinson

Asheville - Ruth Gertrude Robinson, 80, died
Thursday January 2, 2003 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Flenor and Lottie Treadway Cutshaw and the wife of the late Robert Crate Robinson.
She is survived by a sister, Pauline Bogle of Ravenna, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and friends..
Graveside serivces will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday at Cane Creek Cemetery
with Mr. Bennie Daves officiating.
