Zollar Fullenwider
SHELBY - Mrs. Zollar H. Fullenwider, 75, of 408 Gold St., died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at White Oak Manor.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Toliver and Nancy Crosby Hicks. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Shelby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Fullenwider.
She was survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ron and Ella Fullenwider of Shelby and Larry Fullenwider of Newark, N.J.; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Mount Calvery Baptist Church with the Rev. S.A. Raper officiating. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral.

DENVER - Mrs. Margie Sue Goad Crivac, 55, of Denver, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center.
The funeral will be today at 11 at Raymer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jan Heermans officiating.

SFC Carroll Pritchard
LEESVILLE, La. - SFC Carroll Russell Pritchard, 64, of 1894 Lake Vernon Road, formerly of Lawndale, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 25, 1935 in Cleveland County, he was the son of Alma Louise Bivins Pritchard of Lawndale and the late Loy Russell Pritchard. He was retired from the Army after 21 years. He served during the Vietnam Conflict. He also worked for the Angola State Penitentiary in Louisiana.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jones Pritchard of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck and Toni Pritchard of Leesville, La., and Gary and Violet Pritchard of Lawndale; and a grandson, Fred Joseph Pritchard.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his mother, Mrs. Alma Pritchard, 117 Garver St., Lawndale.

John Wilson Jr.
SHELBY - Mr. John H. Wilson Jr., 87, of 407 Edgewood Road, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Sylva, he was the son of the late John H. Sr. and Madge Bridges Wilson. He was a retired area supervisor with the North Carolina Employment Security Commission. He was a member of Shelby Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, deacon, Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He was a member of the Lions Club. He served as a first sergeant in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Porter Wilson of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John D. Wilson of Shelby and Stephen P. and Pam Wilson of Statesville; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Tweed of Sylva, Madge Webber of Riverton, Wyo., Agnes and Hugh Johnson of Waycross, Ga. and Jane and Gene Levange of Waynesville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wade and Becky Wilson of Dillsboro and Hal and Helen Wilson of Brentwood, Tenn.; and two granddaughters, Kerry Wilson and Stephanie Wilson, both of Statesville.
A graveside service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery with Dr. Luke Harkey officiating.
A memorial service will follow at Shelby Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m.

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Betty Short Mauney, 70, of 203 E. Gold St., died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at Kings Mountain Hospital.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Vertie Davis Short. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and was retired from Mauney Hosiery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Mauney; and two brothers, J.D. Short and Bobby Short.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eddie and Roxanne Mauney of Kings Mountain and Kenny Mauney of Winston-Salem; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Jane and Joe D. Rhea Jr.; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Maxine and Russell Putnam, Margaret Moore and Ruth Turner, all of Kings Mountain, Patsy and Jerry Moore of Marshville and Lois and Grady Eudy of Pageland, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Ryan Mauney, Sarah Jane Mauney and Trent Rhea.

MOORESBORO - Mrs. Mildred Pierce Humphries, 70, of 2374 Gaffney Road, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cherokee County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Bridge and Corrie Bright Pierce. She was a seamstress and a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Horace E. Humphries of the home; two daughters, Debora Humphries and Cathy Humphries, both of Mooresboro; a brother, Elbert Pierce of Beaufort, S.C.; and two sisters, Bertha Taylor and Ruby Pierce, both of Gaffney, S.C.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel in Gaffney with the Rev. Steve Durham officiating.
Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.

Hubert Wall
SHELBY - Mr. Hubert Wall, 55, of 2223 Elizabeth Ave., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Claude and Freelove Hopper Wall. He was a member of Washington Missionary Baptist Church for 40 years, where he served on the Trustee Board and Mission Outreach. He later joined Walls Memorial Baptist Church and served as a deacon and Mission Outreach chairman, the Usher Board and treasurer. He was also a dedicated foster parent for the Department of Social Services in Cleveland County. He was employed by Hoechst Celanease and Commercial Sharing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, James Wall, Ernest Wall, and his twin, Haywood Wall.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marie Black Wall; a son, Hubert Chatham Wall of Shelby; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pia Griffin and Marissa and Fred Meeks, all of Shelby; one brother and a sister-in-law, Claude and Clara Wall of Shelby; one sister, Ruth Strickland of Spartenburg, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Flora Wall of Dallas, N.C.; a father-in-law, Ed Ross of Chicago; a mother-in-law, Pauline Mask of Providence, R.I.; and four grandchildren, Darryl "Jr." Griffin, Natassaia Griffin, Joshua Griffin and Tierra "TT" Meeks, all of Shelby.
The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Washington Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Nathaniel Craig officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral at the church.

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Marian Knox Breakfield, 78, of White Oak Manor, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000.
A native of Clover, S.C., she was the daughter of the late John Jackson and Viola McCarter Knox. She was retired from the Gaston Gazette where she was an accounting clerk. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kings Mountain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Breakefield; and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Carpenter.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Knox Aderholdt of Kings Mountain; a brother, Jacob R. Knox of Catawba, S.C.; and two granddaughters, Kimberly Carpenter Draughn of Hiddenite and Dawn Carpenter Richardson of Denver, Co.
A graveside service will be today at 11 a.m. at Woodside Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Newsome officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery and at other times at 203 S. Gaston St., Kings Mountain.

SHELBY - Mrs. Anna Lorene Trahan, 87, formerly of Linville Manor, Shelby, and Carolina House, Forest City, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at Hospice at Wendover.
A native of Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Z.T. and Stella Wolf Sisson. She lived most of her life in Houston, where she was an elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon R. Kerr; her second husband, Wilton J. Trahan Sr.; a daughter, Betty Jean Deutsch; two brothers; and a great-granddaughter.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and F.E. "Ace" Richards of Shelby; three grandsons and their wives, Ed and Mary Richards of Kings Mountain, Philip and Diana Richards of Batesville, Ark., and Scott and Meg Richards of Pueblo, Colo.; two granddaughters and their husbands, Kim and Doug Lahti of Minot, N.D., and Sharon and Paul Davis of North Richland Hills, Texas; a son-in-law, Robert L. Deutsch of Houston; two brothers, John Sisson of Pasadena, Texas, and James Sisson of Fresno, Calif.; a stepson, Wilton Trahan Jr. of Houston; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery with the Rev. Luke Harkey officiating.
