OVIEDO, Fla. - Mrs. Mary Alice Nobles, 55, of Oviedo, Fla., died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Winter Park Hospital in Winter Park, Fla.
Born Dec. 30, 1944, in Shelby, she moved to central Florida in 1985 from Charlotte. She was a mortgage loan processor and a member of Aloma United Methodist Church in Winter Park.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Nobles of Oviedo, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lissette Nobles of Hinesville, Ga.; a daughter, Caron Nobles of Orlando, Fla.; a stepson, Carl Nobles Jr. of Charlotte; and a brother and sister-in-law, Earl H. Jr. and Bea Lutz of Shelby.
The funeral was Tuesday at Aloma United Methodist Church.
Burial followed at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park.

SHELBY - Mr. James William "Slim" Lambert, 43, of 2211 Gaffney Road, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
A native of Macon, Ga., he was the son of the late James W. and Emily Lambert. He was a welder and a member of Cowpens Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Nix Lambert of the home; a son, Jamie Lambert of South Carolina; a brother, Terry Lambert of South Carolina; and his stepmother, Agnes Hodge of Cowpens, S.C.
The funeral will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at Mckinney-Landreth Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Passmore officiating.

FOREST CITY - Mr. Larry Richard Fowler, 61, of 1211 Old Henrietta Road, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at his home.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Hollis Fowler and Lora Blackwell Fowler Randolph. He was former owner of Fowler Heating and Air Conditioning in Henrietta and a veteran of the Air Force. He was a Baptist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean Fowler; and a brother, James Lester Fowler.
He is survived by two sons, Larry Richard Fowler of the home and Clay Fowler of Texas; a daughter, Karen Howe of Missouri; two brothers, Charles Ray Fowler of Ellenboro and Danny Robert Fowler of Henrietta; five sisters, Betty Graham, Ann Skipper and Margie Ruff, all of Forest City, Mary Greene of Ellenboro and Linda Anders of Inman, S.C.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a business partner and friend, James Scally of Maine.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Broad River Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Parrott officiating.

A native of Cherokee County, S.C., he was retired from the maintenance department of the Rutherford County School System. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Rutherfordton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Wilson Vickers; a son, Dean Vickers; a grandson, Jay Vickers; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Vickers.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Arnold Vickers of Cullowhee and Donald and Florence Vickers of Forest City; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lee and Ernest Herman of Newton; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, Rutherfordton, with the Revs. Keith Stephenson and Billy Honeycutt officiating.

SAINT PARIS, Ohio - Mrs. Patricia C. Everett, 62, of 103 Rupolo St., died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born July 4, 1938, in Albemarle, she was the daughter of the late Alonza and Louise Morris McSwain. She was a member of Lena Baptist Church, Conover, Ohio, and a former member of the Lena Order of Eastern Star. She was self-employed as a home health care assistant.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert C. Everett; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart and Annette Everett of Saint Paris and Anthony and Barbara Everett of Conover, Ohio; two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan and Brent Bradbury of New Albany, Ohio, and Wanda Everett of Saint Paris; four grandchildren, Jordan Everett of Saint Paris, Bryan Bradbury and Brittany Bradbury, both of New Albany and Cory Everett of Conover, Ohio; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Cynthia McSwain of Batesburg, S.C., and William and Joannie McSwain of Atlanta; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Sammy Camp of Shelby; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Richeson-Wickham and Atkins Funeral Home, Saint Paris, with the Rev. David Chivington officiating.
Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio.

SHELBY - Mrs. Mary Lou Hardin, 80, of 411 Whitener St., died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Everette Lee Hardin and Ola Mae Blanton Hardin Poole. She retired after 48 years service with Belding Lily and was a member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church and the Lily Old Timers Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Willis, Shirley Heffner and Martha Rose Hamrick; and two brothers, Bud Hardin and Lewis Hardin.
She is survived by her husband, Herman "Jim" Hardin of the home; daughter & her husband, Connie Hardin Hoyle & Doug of Shelby; two sisters, Esther Sisk and Bonnie Worth, both of Shelby; three grandsons, "Dusty" Hoyle and his wife, McCall, of Atlanta, Dereik Hoyle and his wife, Rhonda, and Wes Hoyle, all of Shelby; two great - grandsons, Jacob Lee Hoyle and Taner Hoyle, both of Shelby; and great - granddaughter, Emilie Beattie of Atlanta.
The graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Ernest Arnold officiating.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Sarah McLain of Nashville, Tenn., and his sister, Donna Payne of Clarksville, Tenn.

FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Margaret Canipe Nanney, 71, of 318 Andover Road, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Cape Fear Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was retired from the Cumberland County school system and worked at Alma Easom Elementary School. She was a member of Northwood Temple, Joshua Sunday School Class and choir. She was active in dinner theater preparation.
She is survived by three daughters, Pat Sessoms of the home, Barbara Woodward of Zebulon and Angie Hedgepeth of Fayetteville; two brothers, Claude Canipe Jr. of Shelby and Gene Canipe of Lincolnton; one sister, Betty C. Laughlin of Lawndale; seven grandsons and one great - grandson.

Marguerite Pass
GREER, S.C. - Mrs. Marguerite King Pass died Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Greer, S.C.
She was the daughter of the late Sallie McKinney King McGowan and Frank King.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1956 by her husband of 28 years, Norris Jan Pass Jr.
She was a teacher and speech pathologist with the public school system in Shelby for more than 30 years. She attended public schools in Greenville, S.C., and earned a bachelor's degree in English and French from Shaw University in Raleigh and a master's degree in speech pathology and audiology from Columbia University in New York. She served as an organist for the Durham United Methodist Church in Shelby for more than 30 years. She worked with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Links Inc. , which she helped to establish in the Shelby - Charlotte area. She was the last surviving member of a Greenville family that traces its roots back to the post - slavery era.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Greenville with the Rev. Granville A. Hicks officiating.

HICKORY - Mr. Thomas Calvin "T - Model" Williamson, 75, of 238 9th Ave. Pl. S.W., Apartment 14, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at the home of a daughter.
Born August 7, 1925, in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Marshall and Tisha Surratt Williamson. He served in the Army during World War II and was retired from the City of Hickory.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Williamson; two sisters, Essie Early and Leatha Franklin; and a brother, Paul Williamson.
He is survived by four daughters and three sons - in - law, Betty and Paul Henry Hoover of Hickory, Shirley and Howard Connelly of Valdese and Brenda and Charles Douglas and Marsha Gaither of Hickory; four sons, Thomas Williamson, Jr. of Newton, Calvin Williamson and Allan Williamson of Hickory and Fred Williamson of Hiddenite; four sisters, Clara Jolly of Shelby, Thelma "Tammy" Hush of Lawndale, Dorothy Williamson of Atlanta and Pauline Bennett of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Dwight Williamson of Detroit and J.L. Williamson of Maryland; 17 grandchildren; eight great - grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Allen Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Hickory with Bishop Wade Danner and Pastor Lillie Rippy officiating. Burial will be at Southside Cemetery.

SHELBY - Mr. Charles "Charlie" Parker Sr., 77, of 125 College Ave., Apt. C - 6, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at his home.
A native of Cleveland County, he was retired from the printing department of Rock Hill Printing and Finishing and served in the Army and Navy in World War II. He was a member of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Ellie McSwain Parker, and a sister, Marie Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Owens Parker of the home; three sons and two daughters - in - law, Charles Parker Jr. of Shelby, Rick and Anita Parker of Wilkesboro and Mark and Susan Parker of Boiling Springs; two daughters and sons - in - law, Pam and Wally Zinck of Greenville, S.C. and Melissa and Charlie Jones of Shelby; six grandchildren, Tina Dellinger, Tim Parker Nikki Jones, Michael Jones, Jessica Parker, Isaac Parker; and one great - grandchild, Brandi Ledbetter.
