BLACKSBURG, S.C. - Mr. James Glenn Sapoch, 89, of 962 Old Chester Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney, S.C.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Barnard officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full Masonic rites.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Hopewell Baptist Church, and other times at the home.

Roy Campbell
FOREST CITY - Mr. Roy Lee Campbell, 76, of 209 Westwood Drive, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Lee and Mamie Hunt Campbell and father of the late Ronald Lee Campbell.
He was a retired supervisor and office manager for Flav-O-Rich Inc. and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Roberson Campbell, of the home; brothers, Buren Campbell and Russell Campbell, both of Ellenboro, William Campbell, J.D. Campbell and Charles Campbell, all of Forest City; sisters, Pauline Daves of Polkville, and Diane Coleman, Springfield, Mo.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Charles Davenport officiating.
Burial will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 tonight at The Padgett and King Mortuary.

FOREST HILL, W.Va. - Mrs. Lola Louetta Stallings Johnson, 90, of Forest Hill, formerly of Cleveland County, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in Hilton, W.Va.

Trilbie Adams
GASTONIA - Mrs. Trilbie D. Wooten Adams, 64, of 906 W. Davidson Ave., died Wednes-day, Nov. 8, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Andrews, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna Painter Dailey. She was a homemaker and attended Kings Mountain House of Prayer for All People.
She is survived by her husband, David N. Adams of Gastonia; four sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Linda Wooten and Floyd "Skeeter" and Debbie Wooten, all of Shelby, Paul and Becky Wooten of Andrews and Jeff and Nita Wooten of Gastonia; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Broadus Jackson of Grover; three stepsons and two stepdaughters-in-law, Kenneth and Shirley Adams, Tony and Donna Adams and Albert Adams, all of Gastonia; two stepdaughters, Gwendylon Woosley of Boise, Idaho, and Marie Schultz of York, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home with Bishop Brady Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

Oda Johnson
FOREST HILL, W. Va. - Mrs. Lola "Oda" Louetta Stallings Johnson, 90, of Forest Hill, W.Va., formerly of Cleveland County, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in Hilldale, W. Va.
Born Oct. 14, 1910, in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Tilden D. and Lucindy Bell McCurry Stallings. She was a homemaker and a member of Golden Valley Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Perley Johnson; three brothers, J.T. Stallings, Jamee Stallings and Clyde Stallings; and a sister, Birdie Lee Smith.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Foy Johnson of Boiling Springs, Roy A. Johnson of Forest Hill and Horace Junior Stallings of Shelby; two daughters, Mary Bell Bonds of Red Sulfur Springs, W.Va., and Nancy L. Moore of Lady Smith, Va.; three brothers, Reed Stallings and Floyd Stallings, both of Bostic, and John Stallings of Shelby; four sisters, Elsie Smith and Bertha Terry, both of Casar, Bessie Elliott of Lawndale and Irene Van Dyke of Bostic; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Golden Valley Methodist Church with the Revs. Freda Hobson and John Ware officiating.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Michael McCurry
MORGANTON - Mr. Michael McCurry, 45, of 2022 Bristol Creek Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Marie Pruitt Haynes of Shelby and the late Millard McCurry. He was a member of Kings Light House Worship Center, Kings Mountain.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ilona Clark McCurry of the home; a son, Michael Gene McCurry of Shelby; a daughter, Tiami McCurry of Florida; a stepdaughter, Sunshine Blevins of Morganton; two brothers, Eddie McCurry of Waco and David McCurry of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Jill Short and Debbie Dawson, both of Kings Mountain, and Brenda Pearson of Gastonia; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Hawkins and Associate Pastor Traci Black officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

Grace Nance
GAFFNEY, S.C. - Mrs. Grace Blackwell Nance, 70, formerly of 141 Beltline Courts, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
A native of Rutherfordton, she was the daughter of the late Robert Edgar and Annie Mae Taylor Blackwell. She was retired from Hamrick Mills and a member of Johnson Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sanders Nance.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Gail Robbins of Gaffney and Sara Ann Leigh of Shelby; two sisters, Ruby Hembree of Cliffside and Edna West of Pensacola, Fla.; one grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg, S.C.

Henry Blackwood
KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mr. Henry H. Blackwood, 75, of 345 Bethlehem Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at VA Medical Center in Asheville.
A native of Cherokee County, S.C., he was the son of the late Oscar Samuel and Minnie Pruitt Blackwood. He was retired from New York Central Railroad as a yard conductor. He was a Baptist and a life member of the DAV and the Civilian Conservation Corps. He served in the Navy during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Edward Blackwood.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine H. Blackwood of the home; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Norma B. and Dean McMurry of Shelby, Susan B. and Mike Cox of Asheboro, Sylvia B. and Tommy Bowen of Matthews and Stephanie Blackwood of Kings Mountain; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael S. and Kimberly Blackwood, aboard the USS Tennessee; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Hazel B. Evans of Macon, Ga., Doris B. and Glenn Smith of Surfside Beach, S.C., and Colleen B. and Wayne Taylor of Garden City, S.C.; two granddaughters, Heather McMurry of Shelby and Jade Bowen of Matthews; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Services with Dr. Wayne Blackwood officiating.

RUTHERFORD COLLEGE - Mrs. Kathleen Travis Isenhour, 80, of Griffin Street, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Home in Shelby.
She was the daughter of the late Roy and Bessie Poovey Travis. She was a member of Abernethy Memorial United Methodist Church and was retired from Alba Waldensian Mill.
She is survived by a granddaughter and her husband, Heidi Gardner and David Steeves of Shelby.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hickory Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer F. Greene officiating.
Burial will be at St. Stephens Lutheran Church.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

HENDERSONVILLE - Mr. Wynn B. Huskey, 91, of 100 Arber Lane, formerly of Kings Mountain, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at Cardinal Care in Hendersonville.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Rest Cemetery.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Patterson Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Norman Brown officiating.

Lee Oakes
GREENSBORO - Mr. Lee Roy Oakes, 81, of 5959 Church St., died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Moses Cone Hospital.
He was retired from Nehi Bottling Company and was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Copple Oakes of the home; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Sally Jane Oakes of the home, Jeanette and Frank Simpson of Whitsett, Rebecca and Harvey L. Guffey of Ellenboro and Sarah and Archie Luffman of Greensboro; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Chapel in Greensboro.
Burial followed at Westminster Gardens.
Jeff Friddle, Charlie Friddle, Ed Small, Mark Chester, Tina Collis and Tonya Lynch served as pallbearers.

BOSTIC - Mr. Frank Wheeler Melton, 81, of North Fork Road, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000.

George Byrd Sr.
SHELBY - Mr. George Vernon Byrd Sr., 92, of 1512 Fallston Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000.
A native of Bakersville in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late James and Harriett Ellis Byrd. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Navy with the 78th Seabees in the Pacific Theater. He was decorated several times, including a Bronze Star, the Pacific-Asiatic Area Campaign Ribbon and the Admiralty Island Expeditionary Force Ribbon. He worked at Cleveland Lumber Co. as plant superintendent for 21 years then operated Fallston Builders Supply for 10 years. He was employed by Lowe's Co. for 29 years, beginning in 1967, holding the position of assistant manager before retiring in 1996 at the age of 88. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Shelby, joining in 1938 and teaching Sunday school from 1939 to 2000.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Kay Byrd; and three brothers, William Byrd, Robert Lee Byrd and Fred Lee Byrd.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen Craig Byrd; two sons and daughters-in-law, George Vernon Jr. and Valerie Byrd of Homer, Alaska, and Barry Ellis and Ann Byrd of Northport, Wash.; a half-brother, the Rev. Charles Warren Nanney of Union Mills; a stepsister, Estelle Nanney Craig of Union Mills; three grandchildren, Trista Danette Hopkins, Matthew Abel Byrd and Andrew Stevens Byrd; and one great-granddaughter, Adrianna Hopkins.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Tony Tench and Charles Nanney officiating.
Burial will be at Cleveland Memorial Park.
The family invites anyone from Mr. Byrd's former Sunday school classes to serve as honorary pallbearers.
