KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Eloise Summerford Crawford, 85, of 916 Sherwood Lane, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at Kings Mountain Hospital.
She was a native of York County, S.C., daughter of the late Walter and Lula Leslie Summerford. She was a partner in J. Wilson Crawford Real Estate, and a member of Boyce Memorial ARP Church, where she belonged to the Frances Hamilton Women's Circle and the Katherine Dale Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Kings Mountain Woman's Club, Open Gate Garden Club and the Home Arts Book Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Wilson Crawford.
She is survived by a brother, David Summerford of Pineville; nieces and nephews, David Summerford Jr. of Rock Hill, S.C., Gwenn Stanley of Chesnee, S.C., Jim Summerford of Huntersville, Howard Williams of Hudson, and Jane Crawford, Harold Crawford Jr. and William Byrd Crawford, all of Kings Mountain.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Boyce Memorial ARP Church, with the Rev. Doug Petersen officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 at Harris Funeral Home.

SHELBY - Mr. Trevor Richards Jr., 76, of 3032 Poplar Circle, died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center.
A native of New Castle, Pa., he was the son of the late Trevor Sr. and Mae Hughes Richards. He was retired from Allegheny County Child Welfare. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Springdale, Pa. He was a member of American Legion Post 82 in Shelby and Masonic Lodge No. 502 in Tarentum, Pa. He was a Navy veteran who served in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Rae Richards of the home; three sons, Trevor Richards III of Abilene, Kan., Douglas Richards of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Jason Scott Richards of Fayetteville; two daughters, Darlene R. Davis of Shelby and Deborah Guyaux of Harwick, Pa.; three brothers, William Richards and Charles Richards, both of Wildomar, Calif., and Donald Richards of West Covina, Calif.; one sister, Carol Haakinson of Weaverville, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the chapel at Cleveland Funeral Services with the Rev. Gervase Hitch officiating. Burial will follow at Deer Creek Cemetery in Cheswick, Pa.
The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour before the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

SHELBY - Mr. George Self, 60, of 1101 N. Morgan St., Century Health Care, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Century Health Care.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Coyte and Pauline Page Self. He was retired from Lutz-Yelton Heating and Air. He was a Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Self.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Sylvia Self of Monroe, Ga.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Robert Nelson of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Virginia Johns of Boise, Idaho, and Frances Shuford of Polkville; and one aunt, Mattie Sanders of Shelby.
A graveside service will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery with the Rev. Alton Martin officiating.
The family will be at the home of Frances Shuford in Polkville.

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mr. Roosevelt Holland, 94, of 322 Compact Road, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at his residence.
A native of Bessemer City, he was the son of the late John and Liza Jane Holland. He was a construction worker. He was a member of Gethsemane Holiness Church in Kings Mountain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James A. Holland.
He is survived by four sons, John Holland, Willie Holland, Charles Holland and Clarence Holland, all of Gastonia; and two daughters, Lula Norris of Kings Mountain and Mary Holland of Gastonia.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Gethsemane Holiness Church in Kings Mountain with Bishop James Mintz officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Woodrow McSwain of Kings Mountain; three sons and daughters-in-law, James Woodrow McSwain of Essen, Germany, Dr. Donald Wells and Rachel McSwain of Shelby, and Larry Joe McSwain of Goose Creek, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Jane and Chip Rearick of South Bend, Ind.; two sisters, Lollie McDaniel and Sybil Sanders of Kings Mountain; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
