SHELBY - Mrs. Katherine Hope Sabey, 79, of 1413 Beverly Ave., died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Ithaca, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late J. Mark and Laura Bates Chamberlain. She was a homemaker and was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Fred F. Sabey; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carolyn and Graham Henderson and Anne Bielowicz, all of Atlanta; one sister, Laura Patterson of Rochester, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Brian Hill, Alicia Jackson, Anna Koetter, Mary Henderson and Roberta Eason; and three great-grandchildren, Sarah Chamberlain Hill, Emma Grace Koetter and Jacob Graham Eason.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Troutman officiating.

Randolph Parrott Sr.
SHELBY - Mr. Randolph Howard Parrott Sr., 75, of 207 East Ave., died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Robbie Miller Dawkins and Odell Goode. He was an Army veteran who served in World War II. He was retired from Southern Cotton Oil Mill. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Stewart Parrott.
He is survived by eight daughters and five sons-in-law, Minnie P. Rudasill of the home, Rosa P. Rose of Upper Marlboro, Md., Robbie P. and Luther Lee Jr. of Lawndale, Deborah P. and Calvin Howell, Staria P. and Jimmy L. Littlejohn, Mary P. and Charles Ross and Cheryl Parrott, all of Shelby and Karen P. and the Rev. Scott Bonner of Lanham, Md.; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Randolph H. and Sylvia Parrott, Stacey Parrott, Wayne Parrott and Harold "Boe" Parrott, all of Shelby; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Willie Mae Norris of Shelby; 29 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one niece, Pearlie Hines of Forest City; and two goddaughters, Beatrice Barber and Christine Ashe, both of Shelby.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. S.A. Raper officiating. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 to 8 at the church.

SHELBY - Mr. Dennis Lee Bridges, 43, of 4108 Wanda St., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at his residence.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Calvin L. and Mary Faye Allen Bridges. He was owner and operator of Bridges Towing Service.
He was preceded in death by three grandparents, Clyde Bridges, Charles L. Allen and Jesse Dover Allen.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one grandparent, Mrs. Clyde Bridges of Shelby; and one daughter, Kim Davis of Shelby.
The funeral will Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Cagel officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.

Marion Patterson Jr.
BESSEMER CITY - Mr. Marion Lemuel Patterson Jr., 66, of 156 Cowpoke Lane, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Shelby, he was born on Oct. 29, 1933, the son of the late Marion Lemuel Patterson Sr. and Mattie Moss Patterson. He was an Air Force veteran who served in the Korean War. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Shelby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, A.W. "Pat" Patterson, Herman Patterson and Walter Patterson.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wise Patterson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Barbara Patterson of Bessemer City and Danny and Myra Patterson of Shelby; one daughter, LaSandra Martin of Polkville; one sister, Mildred Pearson of Shelby; and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Sunnyside Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Barry Goodman and Johnny Owens officiating. Pallbearers will be Eric Alan Page, Danny Wayne Patterson Jr., Christopher Marc' Martin, Robert Guy Martin, Paul Rathbone and P.J. Rathbone.

John Warlick
SHELBY - Mr. John E. Warlick, 76, of 1009 W. Dixon Blvd., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Carolinas Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he was born on Sept. 26, 1923, the son of the late D.H. and Eunice Randall Warlick. He was retired from J.P. Stevens Company as a plant engineer after 35 years of service. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church where he was a member of the men's Sunday school class and the Prime Timers. He served as a deacon and on numerous committees. He was a member of Monday Senior's Bowling League. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in World War II in the European Theater.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Watts Warlick and one brother, Lewis Warlick.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Goode Warlick of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Sonja Warlick of Johnson City, Tenn., and Kenneth and Mia Warlick of Atlanta, Ga.; one stepdaughter and her husband, Linda and Richard Chalcraft of Dublin, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Vocci, Carrie Hernandez, Hayden Warlick and Sara Warlick; one brother and his wife, Frank and Beatrice Warlick of Kings Mountain; and five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Kent Harbour of Sanford, Faye and Nelson Bridges of Bessemer City, Rachel and Ray Todd of New Bern, Joyce Spinks of Chapel Hill and Melba Hendricks of Kings Mountain.
The funeral will be today at 3:30 p.m. at Westview Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Brackett and Larry King officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.

A native of Jacksonville, Fla., he was born July 9, 1970, the son of Charlotte Anne Cummings of Albemarle and the late George Larry Cummings.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, John and Julie Cummings of New London; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Mitch Lipscomb of Shelby; and one niece, Bethany Lipscomb of Shelby.

Nell Jane Roseborough
FAIRVIEW - Mrs. Nell Jane Thompson Roseborough, 76, formerly of 5 Rose Anne Drive, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center.
A native of Glendale, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Carl Lloyd and Mary Sue McGraw Thompson. She had lived in Buncombe County since 1925. She was a member of Emmas Grove Baptist Church where she played the piano, was a member of the Ladies Bible class and was a former Sunday school teacher. She was a 1940 graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Daffin Roseborough Sr., who died on March 8, 1995.
She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Jane Pittman of Shelby; two sons, Robert D. Roseborough Jr. of Asheville and Carl James Roseborough of Candler; one sister, Dorothy Hawkins of Leicester; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, with twin great-grandchildren on the way.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel, Asheville, with Mr. W. J. Roseborough Sr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Silver, Tony Roseborough, Tracy Roseborough, Kevin Roseborough, Alan Pittman, Randy Ware, Ronnie Burrell and Tommy Warren.

A native of Nashville, Tenn., he was born on Dec. 4, 1908, the son of the late Charles Sneed and Fannie Lou McCallum Edmondson. He was retired from AT&T where he was an operator. He was a member of Hill's Chapel United Methodist Church in Stanley.
