WADMALAW, S.C. - Mrs. Annie Padgett Gold, 83, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, in a Charleston, S.C., hospital.
A native of Cleveland County, she was born on Sept. 3, 1916, the daughter of the late Roy and Fannie Wilson Padgett. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Stono Baptist Church in Johns Island, S.C.
She is survived by one daughter, Gayla Grafing of Wadmalaw; three sons, Randy Gold of Wadmalaw, Allen Gold of Goose Creek, S.C., and Steve Gold of Charlotte; one sister, Margaret Klock of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Greenridge Road Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Brama Wilkerson
RUTHERFORDTON - Mrs. Brama Lee Jones Wilkerson, 92, of 816 Poors Ford Road, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at Rutherford Hospital.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Adaville Baptist Church with the Rev. James Daves officiating. Burial will follow at Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 at Padgett & King Mortuary.
Debaker McCaw
BLOWING ROCK - Mr. Debaker McCaw, 97, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Blowing Rock Hospital.
He was the son of the late Andrew and Lisa Henry McCaw. He was a self-employed farmer for 55 years. He had been retired for 25 years. He was a member of Old Ellis Chapel Baptist Church in Patterson Springs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lessie S. McCaw.
He is survived by one son, Depressly McCaw of Middletown, Conn.; one sister, Josephine E. McCaw of Smyrna, S.C.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Old Ellis Baptist Church with the Revs. Quinn Mitchel and Walter Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.

SHELBY - Mr. Alfred "Al" Harmon Williamson Jr., 43, of 1436 New House Road, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at Hospice of Wendover.

Nell Whitworth
CHERRYVILLE - Miss Virginia "Nell" Whitworth, 88, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Century Care Nursing Home.
A native of Cleveland County, she was one of the oldest members of Waco Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.C. and Prue Harrelson Whitworth; brothers Boyd Whitworth, Otis Whitworth and Max Whitworth; sisters Blanche W. Bess, Melba W. Eades, Neva W. Jenks, and Mildred W. Bost.
She is survived by one brother, Dwight William Whitworth of Shelby.
A graveside service is today at 2 p.m. at Capernaum Cemetery in Waco, with the Rev. Royce Ballew officiating.
The family received friends Sunday from 4 to 5 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and other times at the home of Dwight Whitworth, 815 Parkwood Road, Shelby.

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Charles Dylan Bolin, infant son of Melissia Elaine Bolin of Kings Mountain and Heath Hallberg of Sac City, Iowa, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Kings Lighthouse Worship Center with the Rev. Darrell Alexander and Timothy Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery.

FOREST CITY - Mr. Patrick Michael Vinci, 41, of 302 Griffin Road, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at Rutherford Hospital.

Raymond Hart
SHELBY - Mr. Raymond Alfred Hart, 70, of 116 Rayton Drive, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Bridgeport, N.Y., he was the son of the late William S. and Millicent Beechner Hart. He was a retired brakeman for Conrail Railroad and also served with the New York Central and Penn Central railroads, with a total of 46 years of service. He was separated from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant and served the duration of the Korean War. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #7290 and was memorialized for his service at the Veteran's Memorial in Syracuse, N.Y.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Peter S. Hart.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie Louise Hall Hart of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Katheryn and Ronny Honeycutt of Boiling Springs and Renea and Larry Waters of Shelby; a brother, William Hart of Syracuse; five sisters, Lillian Stevenson, Iva Martin, Florence Waite, Midge Tracy and Vera DeMario, all of Syracuse; a grandson, Chris Waters of Shelby; and four granddaughters, Jennifer Honeycutt, Ashley Honeycutt, Tonya Waters and Tiffany Waters, all of Shelby.
The family celebrated a private memorial service.

LAWNDALE - Mr. Carl McCoy Brackett, 80, of 1264 Belwood Lawndale Road, died Monday, March 20, 2000, at the V.A. Medical Center in Asheville.
A native of Burke County, he was the son of the late Dewey Clarence and Mattie Eathel Mosteller Brackett. He was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Brackett, and two sisters, Lona Brackett and Eathel Brackett.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle Buff Brackett of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rickey Keith Brackett of Casar and the Rev. Carroll and Phyllis Brackett of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Joy Anita Teague of Granite Falls; four brothers, Lonnie Brackett of Wilksboro, C.D. SHELBY - Mrs. Georgia Etta Queen Wright, 93, of Shelby, formerly of Lawndale, died Monday, March 20, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Grover Justice Queen. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and the Young at Hearts at Aldersgate.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wright Sr.
She is survived by a daughter, Joann W. Harrill of Shelby; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Harold E. and Maureen Wright of Phoeniz, Ariz.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, J.D. and Eunice Queen and Hal and Hattie Queen, all of Shelby; a sister, Julia Richards of Shelby; a grandson, Chris Harrill; and two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Alicia Wright of Morganton and Michelle and Jerry James of Kingstree, S.C.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, with Dr. Dolores Queen and the Rev. Kim Ingram officiating.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Theron Wright
LINCOLNTON - Mr. Theron Lee Wright, 80, of 3288 N. Maiden Highway, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Lincoln Nursing Center.
Born Dec. 28, 1919, in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Cletus and Florence Hayes Wright. He was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church. He worked for Pilot Life Insurance Company and was a WWII Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Cloe Williams, Thelma Morgan and Ezell Bracket; a brother, Woodrow Wright; and a grandson, Kevin Lee Wright Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Biggerstaff Wright of the home; two sons, Michael Wright of Lincolnton, and Kevin Wright of Nashville; three brothers, Harol Wright of Ellenboro, Carol Wright of Shelby, and Colon Wright of Marion; three granddaughters, Tammy Wright of Nashville, Kimberly W. Travis and McKenzie Wright, both of Lincolnton; and a great-grandson, Kenan Travis of Lincolnton.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at McKendree United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Deval Mason officiating.

SHELBY - Mrs. Sarah Houser Hamrick, 89, of 604 Charles Road, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Charles John and Elizabeth Anthony Houser. She was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Hamrick; a son, H. Joe Hamrick; a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Lutz Hamrick; a brother, Jack Kirby; four sisters, Matilda Eberhart, Cordia Ramsey, Ruby Nicklin, Ruth McDaniel and Margaret Smith.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim R. and Patricia Hamrick of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Larry Sr. and Evelyn Hamrick of Kings Mountain; a daughter and son-in-law, Sara Elizabeth Hamrick and Stuart Blanton of Chadds Ford, Pa.; and eight grandchildren and their spouses, Ellen Hamrick Patten and her husband Bob of Charlotte, James Crenshaw Hamrick and his wife Elizabeth of Savannah, Ga., Larry Hamrick Jr. and his wife Florrie of Kings Mountain, the Rev. HICKORY - Robert Stevenson Shade, 46, of 1655 20th Avenue Drive N.E., Apt. 53, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at his home.
A native of Hickory, he was the son of the late Dwight and Bertie Ross Shade. He was a self-employed painter and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and the D.A.V. of Hickory. He also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1975.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Shade; a son, Robert S. Shade Jr. of Hickory; four daughters, Stephanie Shade of Hickory, Angie Shade Rangolan of Greenville, Selena Shade of Chapel Hill and Bag'e Shade of the home; five brothers, Dwight Shade Jr., Jimmy Shade, Howard Shade, Alfred Shade and Norman Shade, all of Hickory; and three sisters, Dorothy Pope, Betty Wilson and Dynetta Brooks, all of Hickory.

A native of Jefferson, Ga., he was the son of the late Cagey and Rodie Holtzclaw. He was a member of Gospel Way Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Denton Holtzclaw of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Manley and Janet Holtzclaw of Cherryville; three daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Willis, Ponese Holtzclaw and Cathy and Barry Eaker, all of Cherryville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
