A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Willard Woodrow and Mary Elizabeth Melton Davidson. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Guy Wayne Ledford of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ledford and Steve McIntyre of Shelby; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Karen Davidson, and Harley and Martha Davidson, all of Shelby, Gene and Carolyn Davidson and Harold and Wilma Davidson, all of Cherryville, Larry and Pat Davidson of Stockbridge, Ga., and Carroll and Sharolyn Davidson of Conover; a granddaughter, Ashley Nicole McIntyre of Shelby; a nephew and his family, Tommy and Jazmin Davidson of Newport News, Va.; two great nephews, Anthony Thomas Davidson and Craig Willard Davidson of Newport News, Va., special friends Guy and Carolyn Owens; and sixteen nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Clay-Barnette Chapel with the Revs. Dean Smith and Marcus Gold officiating.
Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Evelena K. Herndon Noor, 81, of 1415 Bethlehem Road, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at the Fawcett Medical Center in Port Charlotte, Fla.
A native of Kings Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Mary Boone Kennedy. She was a retired service assistant with Southern Bell and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William A. "Bill" Herndon.
She is survived by her husband, Bruno Noor of the home; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles and Frances Herndon of Lugoff, S.C., and Bobby and Barbara Herndon of Kings Mountain; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol and Glenn Maddox of Charlotte and Kathy and Roger Riley of Kings Mountain; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Revs. David Blanton and Ed Sessom officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

SHELBY - Mr. Earnest Lowe Jr., 52, of 1744 New Prospect Church Road, died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 13, 1947, in Cleveland County, he was a son of Mrs. Minnie Wilson Saddler of Shelby and the late Earnest Lowe Sr. He was a former employee of Shelby Yarn.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Wilson.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Ulysses Saddler of Shelby; his wife, Joann G. Lowe; two daughters, Stephanie M. Lowe and Gloria L. Wright and her husband, Bryant, of Shelby; one son, Curtis Lowe and his wife, Natasha, of Hickory; six grandchildren, Latoya Wright, India Wright and Ashley Wright of Shelby, Raven Lowe and Tevan Lowe of Hickory and LaQuisha Strong of Shelby; his mother-in-law, Lizzie G. Allen of Cherryville; father-in-law, J.B. Allen of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Essie L. Tillman, and one brother, Norman Lowe and his wife, Marylene, all of Shelby; six sisters-in-law, Becky Neal, Charlene Turner, Constance Whitworth, Mary Allen, Dianna Green, all of Cherryville, and Annette Pharr of Iron Station; three brothers-in-law, Larry Gilliard of Shelby, David Gilliard of Waco and Rayford Gilliard of Carver, Calif.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

COLLINSVILLE, Va. - Mr. Arron Borders "Pete" Quinn Jr., 73, of 54 Ferndale Court, died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at his home.
Born April 8, 1927 in Shelby, he was the son of the late Arron Borders and Katherine Briggs Quinn. He was a graduate of Shelby High School and North Carolina State University.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Quinn; three sons, Arron B. Quinn III, Tucker Quinn, and Michael Quinn, all of High Point; one daughter, Velva Yurko of High Point; one brother, Charles Hugh Quinn of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Katherine Mabry of Shelby and Enniss Lasitter of Mocksville; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

SHELBY - Mrs. Ivey Gladden Shull, 95, of 1223 S. Lafayette St. died Friday June 8, 2001, at White Oak Manor.
A native of Gaston County, she was born Sept. 18, 1905, the daughter of the late Frank and Josie Spurling Galdden. She was retired from Ora Mill Co.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin W. Shull; a son, Bill Shull; a daughter, Ruth Shull Brown; three brothers, Robert Gladden, Carlton Gladden and Joe Gladden; and a sister, Macie Rhodes.
She is survived by a son and daughter - in - law, Gene and Jenny Shull of Shelby; a daughter and son - in - law, Marjorie and Don Reinhardt of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, Chapell Gladden of Gastonia; a sister, Queenie Keller of Carnesville, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and six great - great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.

Ray Weathers
WINCHESTER, Va. - Mr. Ray Elam Weathers, 90, died Wednesday June 6, 2001, at the Willows.
A native of Cleveland County, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his master's degree from Duke University. He was a representative for ER Squibb and Son (now Bristol Meyers Squibb), retiring in 1975. He was a teacher and basketball coach at Hanes High School in Winston - Salem. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Enterprise during World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Fellowship Lodge No. 687 AF&AM and a Shriner. He was a member of Watts Street Baptist Church and the Norris Bible Class. He was active with the Boy Scouts and was a life member of the UNC Rams Club.
He is survived by two children, Kay Weathers Shaw of Winchester, Va., and Zalph H. Andrews Jr. of Newport News, Va.; two grandchildren, Julia L Shaw - Fuller and Zalph H. Andrews III; two great - grandchildren, Zoe A. Andrews and Nathan Alexander Shaw - Fuller; a brother, Virgil Weathers of Shelby; and a sister, Mozelle W. Lee of Corpus Christi, Texas.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Watts Street Baptist Church with the Revs. Melvin Williams and Dick Chorley officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Michael Pasieka
WINNIPEG, Manitoba - Mr. Michael Pasieka, 90, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at the Misericordia Health Centre.
He was the son of the late George and Mary Mateuchuk Pasieka and was a lifelong member of the Tyndall Eagles Club and traveled throughout Canada and the United States.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Pasieka and Paul Pasieka; three sisters, Polly Lister, Dora Talidwor and Lily Pasieka.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bertha Petrie Pasieka; two daughters and sons - in - law, Pat and Ray Evans of Shelby and Debbie and Ron Allen of New Hampshire; four grandsons and a granddaughter - in - law, Randy Evans, Chris and Sherry Evans, Ryan Allen and Dustin Allen; several nieces and nephews, including special nephews Garry and Jim; and special friends, Wendy, Danny and Jamie.
A memorial service was held on May 18 at Knysh Funeral Chapel, Winnipeg.

Russell Crotts
MOORE, S.C. - Mr. Russell L. Crotts, 80, of 579 Old Georgia Road died Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Claude H. and Hattie Cook Crotts. He was founder of Roebuck Plastics and Machinery, which he operated for 20 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon, a member of the choir and on numerous committees. He played guitar with several groups in the Spartanburg area. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the First Marine Division.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde Crotts and Raymond Crotts.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Roberta Sain Crotts of the home; two daughters and sons - in - law, Vickie and Nathan Corbitt of Wayne, Pa., and Kathy and Randy Warren of Spartanburg; one son and daughter - in - law, Johnny and Tracie Melton Crotts of Boiling Springs; six grandchildren, Heather Corbitt Crutchfield, Zach Corbitt, Amber Outz, Laura Corbitt, Kyle Crotts and Kameron Crotts; two great - grandchildren, Zachary Crutchfield and Madison Crutchfield; one sister, Dessie Canipe Duckworth of Morganton; two brothers, Ralph Crotts of Morganton and Wayne Crotts of Belwood; and several nieces and nephews.

SHELBY - Mr. Ervin Ellis Hill, 77, of 4136 Fallston Road died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he was born Aug. 3, 1923, the son of the late Bynum Sylvanas and Minnie Akins Hill. He retired as an inspector from Rock Hill Print & Finishing and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater, where he received three bronze service stars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Austin Hill and B.S. Hill; and three sisters, Mae Peterson, Elsie Cooper and Willie Owens.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lou Della Clark Hill of the home; a son and daughter - in - law, William and Cathy Hill of Waldorf, Md.; two daughters and sons - in - law, Wanda H. and Lenny Ward of Mooresboro and Denise and Jerry Ranken of Gaffney, S.C.; two brothers, James F.
