Perry Jr, graduate of Gastonia High School, attended Greensboro Women’s College (UNCG), worked in banking field, one of the first teacher’s aides in Gaston County at North Belmont Elementary School, active in First Presbyterian Church of Belmont as circle chairman, Sunday School teacher, president of Women of the Church, received Life Membership Award in 1983, president of Belmont Professional Woman’s Club, Brownie Scout Leader, researched and compiled family history of Turbyfill family in "Granddaddy’s Turbyfills."
