BELMONT — Edith Genevieve Bullivant Filler, died July 18, 1999, at her son’s home in Belmont.
She was a native of Cass (Pocahontas County), W.Va., daughter of the late Walter Samuel and Maude Twigg Bullivant, wife of the late John William Filler, preceded in death by daughter Genevieve, graduate of Elkins (W.Va.) High School, attended Davis and Elkins College, moved to Baltimore, Md., to pursue career in professional nursing, 1930 graduate of Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduate of Johns Hopkins University, registered nurse, retired in 1976, received recognition from the governor of Virginia for exemplary service to the Commonwealth.

He was a native of Gastonia, son of the late Walker Reid Jr., brother of the late Alfred and Roland Reid, 1958 graduate of Highland High School, received a degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Texas in 1985, graduated with honors, member of Alpha Phi Sigma, Northside Baptist Church, served in Army from 1958 to March 1982, retired as an E-7, employed with the Texas Department of Corrections for 17 years.
