She was a native of Hartwell, Ga., daughter of the late Elbert Lee and Bertie Dunn Sanders, wife of the late Guy Rodgers and Norman Bell, mother of the late Willie S. Helms, sister of the late Horace Sr., Levis "Footsie" and James C. Sanders, Annie S. Martin; mother-in-law of the late Ruth Ledford Sanders, she lived in Dahlonega, Ga., moving to Belmont following the death of Norman Bell, attended East Belmont Church of God, retired from Piedmont Processing Co.

She was a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Christopher C. and Margaret Lawing Hope, sister of the late Harry D. Hope Sr., wife of the late Marvin J. Miller, graduated from Mount Holly High School, retired from Belmont Heritage, member of East Belmont Baptist Church, worked for many years in the children’s department, choir.
