He was a native of South Bend, Ind., son of the late Benhart and Clara Menne Ebersold, retired president of Picker Accessories, Charlotte, member of the York City Council, 1986-1998, Mayor Pro Tem, 1990-1998, member of Catawba Regional Planning Commission, Catawba Regional Development Corp., South Carolina Board of Regional Councils, York Historical Society, most recently was Director of Economic Development of the City of York, Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council and taught adult Bible class.
