He was a native of Mount Holly, son of the late Charles and Lula Broome Sipe, member of Holy Comforter Lutheran Church, served as deacon and head usher, Army veteran of World War II, retired from Belmont Hosiery Inc., later worked with Winn-Dixie Stores at Main Street Crossings.
