CROUSE — Margaret Jean Imogene Lail Ellis, 70, 2032 Kollege Lane, died Jan. 9, 2000, at Presbyterian Hospital.
She was a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Harrison and Bertha Yount Lail, retired from Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. (A&P Grocery Store) after 43 years of service, member of East Garrison Baptist Church for 33 years, where she was a secretary of her Sunday School class and was active in the Women’s Missionary Union.

He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Ernest Doc and Della Sweezy Wright, brother of the late Harvey and Loy Wright, Vatha Fullerton, owner and operator of Wright’s Jewelry Store, Nationwide Insurance agent for 40 years, graduate of Fallston High School, lifetime member of Friendship United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men, N.C. Association of Fire Chiefs, Upper Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, Fallston Masonic Lodge #396, charter member of board of directors of Upper Cleveland County Rescue, Fallston Community Volunteer Fire Dept., where he was fire chief and chairman of the board of directors, former member of Fallston Lions Club, Cleveland County Board of Adjustment, Wagon Wheelers Western Square Dance Club, helped organize the Carolina Fun Dancers.
