She was a native of Gaston County, wife of the late Earl S. Smith, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Corn Huggins, sister of the late Ernest, Charles and Alvin Huggins, member of Calvary Baptist Church for more than 46 years, where she was honored for 32 years of perfect attendance, member of ladies’ Sunday school class, where she served as an outreach leader, member of Women’s Missionary Union and praise choir, attended Belmont schools, former cashier in Wix Corp. cafeteria, former employee of Eagle’s five-and-dime store.

He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Charlie and Jessie Johnson Tritt, retired as shipping clerk from Lily Mill, member Lily Old Timers Club, Air Force veteran.

He was a native of McDowell County, W.Va., son of the late James and Minnie Queen Waldroop, husband of the late Lila Lowe Waldroop and Isadora Adams Waldroop, father of the late James Oliver, Gene Allen and Rueben McCarl Waldroop, stepfather of the late Paul Adams, brother of the late Verlie and Ernest Waldroop, member of First Baptist Church, retired from A & E Mills after 51 years.
