Lary, retired machine operator for Kings Mountain Mica Co., employee of Mauney Hosiery Mill, devoted member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee and usher board, member of Masonic Lodge No. 5.

He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Noah and Docia Peeler Hubbard, preceded in death by one sister and two brothers, Army veteran of World War II, served in the European and Pacific Theaters, former president of Bowen and Hubbard Grading Co., member of Ascension Lutheran Church where he served on many committees, former member VFW.

She was a native of Buncombe County, daughter of the late Thomas M. and Sara Augusta Rickman Mitchell, wife of the late J.B. Page and Emmett Armstrong, sister of the late John B. and Thomas M. Mitchell, graduate of East Carolina Teachers College, taught for 30 years at East Belmont Elementary School, which was later named for her late husband J.B. Page who was principal, member of First Baptist Church of Belmont for 76 years, taught a ladies Sunday school class for more than 50 years, recently attended First Presbyterian Church, Gastonia.
