She was a native of Wildwood, daughter of the late William Moore and Triphene Estell Watson, sister of the late William Moore III and Thomas Craig Watson Sr., graduate of Gastonia High School, attended Ward-Belmont College, Nashville, Tenn., counselor with Employment Security Commission for many years, after retirement she served as executive director of the Heart Society of Gaston County for many years, lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, life member of Women of the Church, DAR and Pilot Club, awarded in 1999 the first Golden Heart Award of the Heart Society of Gaston County in recognition of service to the Heart Society and community.
