WORCESTER, Mass. — John Wylie Graham Sr., 84, 86 Austin St., died Aug. 26, 2000, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was a native of Clover, S.C., son of the late Isiah and Emanda Hodge Graham, lived in Gaston County until 1954, former active member of Liberty Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, York County, S.C., worked more than 25 years for Wyman-Gordon Company before retiring, worked about eight years for Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, member of Golden Rule Lodge 82, Prince Hall Grand Lodge F&A Masons of North Carolina, Belmont Street A.M.E. Zion Church for 40 years, preacher’s steward, Steward Board, Senior Usher Board, Men’s Chorus, co-founder of Worcester Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund, received Vision and Dedication Award from the African Heritage Institute in 1997.
