DAYTON, Tenn. — Ray Louis Moretz, 74, died Sept. 20, 2000. He was the son of the late G.C. and Florence Moretz, served in the Merchant Marine during World War II, survived a shipwreck, started retail business in Colorado, farmed in East Texas, developed mining claims in the Colorado mountains.
