She was a native of Iredell County, daughter of the late Chalmers Bost and spouse, wife of the late Jerry Hope, she was retired from CDA Mill.

GASTONIA — James Cecil Brown, 85, of Courtland Terrace, formerly of West Hillcrest Avenue, died Oct. 1, 2000 at his home.
He was a native of Old Fort, son of the late James Samuel and Nancy Gilliam Brown. He was a graduate of Gastonia High School, former co-owner of Brown’s Grocery and a retired manager of Harris-Teeter Super Market with over 30 years of service. KINGS MOUNTAIN — William S. "Bill" Fulton, Jr., 81, 613 E. Ridge St., died Sept. 30, 2000 at his home.
He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late W. Sage Fulton Sr. and Vivian Ware Fulton. He was retired owner of Fulton’s Department Store in Kings Mountain, member of Boyce Memorial A.R.P.Church, the Kiwanis Club for over 45 years, was awarded a life membership in the Kiwanis Club, treasurer of Boyce Memorial Church for 30 years, served as deacon, elder and trustee. He was also a member of the board of directors of First Federal Savings and Loan and the board of directors of Erskine College, a veteran of the Army Air Corps in World War II and was also a Shriner.
