CHARLOTTE — Margaretta Young, 87, of Patton Avenue, died Aug. 29, 1999.She was a native of Anderson, S.C., only child of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Reese, graduate of Salem High School, Anderson, 1933 graduate of Knoxville College, Knoxville, Tenn., received B.S. degree in Science and Mathematics, continued education at Ohio and Kentucky universities, taught at Seneca High School, Highland School in Gastonia, West Charlotte High School, helped in CanCare, member of Minister’s Wives Association, Knoxville College Alumni Association, Helping Hand Literary Club, Retired Teachers Association of Charlotte, N.A.A.C.P., McCrory Heights, and Oaklawn Neighborhood clubs, active leader at Third Street Presbyterian Church, Gastonia.
