Ted Wayne Barnes, 53, of 2346 Swindon Lane died May 21, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born Oct. 8, 1946, a son of Ted Roosevelt and Ruth Grant Barnes. He was lifelong resident of High Point and retired from Curt Manufacturing Co. He was a member of Jewel Baptist Church in High Point, where he was the Royal Ambassador director until he became ill. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Glenn (Imogene) Parker of Canton, Mrs. Johnny (Eileen) Johnson of High Point and Mrs. Jimmy (Annette) Journey of Thomasville; two brothers, Mickey Barnes and Darrin Barnes, both of Thomasville; five nephews, Jason Whicker and Jacob Barnes, both of Kernersville, Bobby Parker of Canton, Tommy Johnson of Thomasville and Heath Garner of Little Rock, Ark.; five nieces, Paula Whicker and Susan Garner, both of Thomasville, Wendy Elam of High Point, Patti Parker of Canton and Danielle Barnes of Kernersville; and two great-nephews, Joshua Elam and Lee Whicker. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Timothy S. Barnes.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale by the Revs. Jimmy Hinson, Billy Barnes and Jessie Crooks. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
T. Bodenhamer
High Point - Ms. Tanya Rae Bodenhamer, 40, of 2452 Willard Road died May 20, 2000, at Duke Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 14, 1959, in Guilford County, a daughter of Kenneth H. and Mary Lou Snyder Sheets. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her mother of High Point; a daughter, Jennifer Bodenhamer of the residence; three sisters, Mrs. Samuel (Pam) Byers of Trinity, Mrs. Larry (Feagin) Fuqua of Greensboro and Mrs. Richard (Susan) Brett of Richmond, Va.; a special friend, Mike Boggs of High Point; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Trinity by Chaplain Wallace Sills and the Rev. Jim Banks. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. The family will be at the residence prior to the visitation and the funeral.
Pallbearers will be Joey Freeman, Richard Deutsch, Ronnie Deutsch, Ken Kindley, Steve Kindley and David Richardson.

Fay Everhart
Lexington - Mrs. Fay McCraw Everhart, 84, of Ridge Road died at 5:06 p.m. May 20, 2000, at Community General Hospital in Thomasville after declining health of several months.
She was born May 28, 1915, in Spartanburg, S.C., a daughter of Mae Bryant McCraw. She was a homemaker and on July 28, 1934, she married Ira F. Everhart, who preceded her in death in October 1974.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Everhart of Lexington and Mike Everhart of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Judy Russell of Thomasville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Neil Sawyer of Brevard.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim Reformed United Church of Christ by the Rev. George Fidler. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Roxboro - John Edward Quick, 59, formerly of High Point, died May 19, 2000, at Person Memorial Hospital.

High Point - David Wayne Wagoner, 47, of 208 E. Peachtree Drive, died May 20, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born Nov. 21, 1952, in Guilford County, a son of McNeill and Ruth Wagner Wagoner. He had been a High Point resident most of his life.
Surviving are his parents of the residence; a sister, Carolyn Wagoner of High Point; a brother, Randy Wagoner of High Point; his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Wagner of High Point; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. Visitation will be at the residence.
Joe Wardlaw
High Point - Joe L. Wardlaw, 61, of 1729 Cedrow Drive died May 20, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital, following hospitalization of seven days. He had been in declining health two years.
He was born in McCormick, S.C., a son of John and Sallie Mae Quarles Wardlaw, who both preceded him in death. He was a former employee at Jiffy Manufacturing Co., where he was a machine operator. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Haywood Wardlaw and a sister, Jessie Lee Ware.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Odessa Ervin Wardlaw of the residence; three daughters, Mrs. Debbie Burt and her husband, Thomas, of Knightdale, Mrs. Demitrius Harris and her husband, Caesar, of Kernersville and Mrs. Penny Wilson and her husband, Anthony, of High Point; four grandchildren, Brandon Wilson, Ariel Burt, McKenzie Wilson and Jordan Wilson; five brothers, John Wardlaw and his wife, Martha, Bobby Wardlaw, David Wardlaw and his wife, Mary, Isaac Wardlaw and James Wardlaw, all of High Point; six sisters, Mrs. Ethel Mae Walker of McCormick, Mrs. Carrie Lou Lee of New Haven, Conn., Ms. Robbie Wardlaw, Mrs. Frances Townsend and her husband, Leroy, Mrs. Rebecca Leonard and Mrs. Josephine Bailey and her husband, Charles, all of High Point; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, among them, Leroy Walker, who was very special; cousins, other in-laws and friends.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. J.W. Flake. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens. Visitation will be at the residence.

Clifford Yates
Pinebluff - Clifford Leon Yates, 78, formerly of Rockingham, died May 20, 2000, at Manor Care of Pinehurst.
He was born June 9, 1921, in Richmond County, a son of C.L. and Rosa Seawell Yates. He retired from CP&L with 42 years of service. He was a member of Page Memorial United Methodist Church and Methodist Men's Club, Pinebluff Lions Club, Masonic Lodge #550 and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, having served in the China Burma India Theater.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma McLean Yates of the home; a son, David Michael Yates of High Point; a daughter, Mrs. Judith Ann Infinger of Rockingham; two brothers, Herbert Yates of Las Vegas and Donnie Yates of Randleman; five sisters, Sarah Coley of Raleigh, Faye Boyd of Fort Mill, Betty Etheridge of Greenville, S.C., Hazel Yates and Martha Bellamy, both of Rockingham; five grandchildren, Thomas Lee Infinger, Scott Infinger, Christy Yates Bartlett, John Allen Yates, Jamie Yates; and a great-grandchild, Cory Dale Bartlett.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Page Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bill Yates and the Rev. Marty E. Duffell. Burial will be in Richmond County Memorial Park with Masonic graveside services.

Harrell Baity
Thomasville - Harrell Cleveland Baity, 53, of 19 Summey Drive died May 22, 2000 at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
He was born Jan. 18, 1947 in Davidson County, a son of James Leroy 'Speedy' and Odessa Atwood Baity. He was a resident of Davidson County the majority of his life. He graduated from East Davidson High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served with the 101st Airborne Division.
He was a member and builder of the Church of Tomorrow and served on the church board. He was owner and operator of Baity & Son Construction and part owner of the Potters House. He served on the steering committee of the March of Dimes. On May 31, 1975, he married Miss Marti Long, who survives of the residence. He was such a loving husband, dad, and pawpaw and a blessing to so many.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Huey (Tara) Turner of Thomasville; a son, Brian Keith Baity of Thomasville; his mother, Mrs. Odessa Lothridge of Lexington; a sister, Mrs. Wayne (Pat) Williams of Lexington; two brothers, Mitchell Baity and his wife, Cathy, of High Point and Darrell Baity of Pensacola, Fla.; two granddaughters, Courtney Turner and Kayley Turner, both of Thomasville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. D.W. Long of Thomasville; his stepmother, Mrs. Beulah Baity of Thomasville; two stepsisters, Mrs. Joyce Moore of Thomasville and Mrs. Yvonne Bullins of Denton; a stepbrother, Edward King Jr. of Lexington; two God-daughters, Mrs. Danielle Sarvis of Trinity and Mrs. Rindy Doyle of Thomasville; his coffee buddies, Mike Randall, Ted Embler and Gary Varner; his golfing buddies, Jeff McQuaigue, Ashley Scarlette, Ken Dennis, Nick 'Hutch' Hutchens and the rest of the Thursday night golf team.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Church of Tomorrow by the Rev. D.W. Long and the Rev. Huey Turner. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will be at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home until placed in the church at 4 p.m. today. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 tonight at the church and other times at the residence.

High Point - Larry Leroy Hines, 45, of 1106 Camden Ave. died May 22, 2000 at High Point Regional Hospital after hospitalization of 24 hours. He was in declining health for three years.
He was a lifelong resident of High Point and a son of James Edward and Barbara Greeson Hines. He was a self-employed automobile mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Bradley Hines of Thomasville; a daughter, Leslie McCoy of Columbia, S.C.; two sons, Clarence of New Jersey and Tyrone of Sumpter, S.C.; one stepson, Jarrett Bradley of Thomasville; his parents of the residence; three brothers, Glen Hines and his wife, Sandra, of Las Vegas, James E. Hines Jr. and Arnold Hines, both of High Point; a sister, Toni B. Holmes of High Point; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
