Timothy Lafayette Justice, 37, of 3571 Roy Farlow Road, Lot 21, died Aug. 14, 2000.
He was born March 13, 1963, in Grundy, Va., a son of Winston and Mary Adams Justice. He was employed as a residential builder and landscaper. He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are a son, Brian Justice of High Point; a daughter, Danielle Justice of High Point; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Billy Rumple of Thomasville; three sisters, Janet Tiller of Fredricksburg, Va., Mary 'Becky' Bustamante of Sophia and Susan Owens of Asheboro; and a brother, Timmy Rumple of Thomasville.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. Bill V. Barnes. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Mary Frances H. Cook Prevette, 74, of 2402 Lowe Ave. died Aug. 16, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born July 27, 1926, in Guilford County, a daughter of Thomas Edward and Josephine Ila Lackey Hicks. She retired as a nurses aide and was a member of Pilot View Baptist Church. She married Kenneth Ray Cook, who preceded her in death Feb. 21, 1970. On June 4, 1976, she married James Claude Prevette, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are a daughter, Connie C. Vestal of Thomasville; two stepdaughters, Marsha P. Elledge of North Wilkesboro and Linda P. Morgan of California; a son, Danny Ray Cook and his wife, Ellen, of High Point; three stepsons, James T. Prevette of Mt. Pleasant, Larry Prevette and David Prevette of California; and two brothers, William 'Bill' Hicks of Fayetteville and Frank Hicks of Sophia.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sechrest Archdale Chapel by the Rev. John Bishop. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rosa Lee prince, 51, of 1016 Asheboro St. died Aug. 16, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital, where she was a patient for five days.

Billy Dale Frost, 67, formerly of 130 Avondale St., High Point, died Aug. 13, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare of Thomasville.
He was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Mt. Airy, a son of the Rev. G.A. and Beulah Simmons Frost, who both preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was formerly employed with Stackhouse and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two brothers, Geoffrey 'Jack' A. Frost of High Point and Donald Gray Frost of Concord; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Juanita) Christensen of Archdale and Mrs. Georgia Ruth Stoll of Alexandria, Va.; eight nieces; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. Ron Chapman. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Billie Ausley Griffey, 51, of 261 Boggs Road died Aug. 16, 2000, at Community General Hospital after a short illness.
She was born June 22, 1949, in Guilford County, a daughter of Robert Lynn and Billie Mae Hill Ausley. She was a former resident of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and a resident of High Point and Thomasville, since May 1999. She retired from BellSouth and was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church. She married Jerry Roger Griffey, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Jerry Roger Griffey II of 106 Meredith Drive, Archdale; a sister, Mrs. Vicki Ausley Solomon of Pompano, Fla.; a niece, Susan Lynnette Lastella; and a nephew, Steven B. Solomon.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham, by the Rev. Hearth E. Kennedy. Burial will be in Gibsonville City Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at McClure Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lucille Nooe King, 69, of 1008 Holton Place died Aug. 16, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born Feb. 6, 1931, in Randolph County, a daughter of Walter Clifford and Bertha Surratt Nooe. On May 25, 1949, she married William Paul King. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed at Ward Bakery. She was a former member of the American Legion Unit #87 of the Ladies Auxiliary. She attended Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid animal lover and very attached to her own pet, Prailee. She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Nooe.
Surviving are her husband of the residence; a daughter, Mrs. Joni King DeLellis and her husband, William, of High Point; a son, Paul David King and his wife, Kathy, of Archdale; four brothers, Robert Nooe of Archdale, Teddy Darrell Nooe of Oak Ridge, Clayton Nooe and Milford Nooe, both of High Point; and a grandson, Brandon Paul King.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Sechrest Chapel, High Point, by the Rev. Bynum D. Orr. Burial will be in Deep River Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

She was born in Lilesville, a daughter of Robert and Bessie Smith Teal. She was a resident of High Point 30 years and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, and a former member of the usher board. She was a former employee at Leggett & Platt Inc. She was preceded in death by a foster daughter, Daisy Prince; a foster son, William Otis Prince; her grandson, Damian Travon; her father; and a brother, Robert Teal.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Prince Jr. of the residence; three sons, Cedric Prince and Derek Prince, both of the residence and Danny Smith of Lilesville; a daughter, Prophetess Angela Prince of the residence; stepdaughter, Mrs. Pamela (Edward) Leak of Enfield; her mother of Lilesville; two foster daughters, Mrs. Rosalene (Todd) Whitaker of High Point and Ms. Deborah Prince of the residence; two foster sons, Ronnie Lee (Barbara) Prince of Trinity and Jeffrey Powell of High Point; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six foster grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Laura Diggs, Ms. Allison Teal, Ms. Bessie Teal, Ms. Rosa Grace, all of Lilesville and Mrs. Cathy Williams of Houston; and four brothers, Robert Parson, Joe Parson, Johnny Parson and Zane Parson, all of Lilesville; special cousins and friends; and a special friend, Virgie Brown.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. J.W. Flake and Apostle Donald Hunter. Burial will be in the family plot at Bessie's Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery, Lilesville. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Josephine B. Shuford, 74, of William and Mary Apartments died Aug. 17, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born in Caldwell County, Jan. 15, 1926, a daughter of Foy and Panzy McGee Barnett. She was employed by High Point Enterprise for 30 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son, Reggie Shuford of Winston-Salem; a sister, Mrs. Capitola Watson and her husband, Kenneth, of Lenoir; a granddaughter, Mrs. Regina Leigh Tapler of Rural Hall.
Private graveside service will be Saturday in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
