Mrs. Norine Deese Ceredon, 68, of 190 Pleasant Grove Church Road died Sept. 5, 2000, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Davidson County, a daughter of Craven and Bertie Sullivan Deese. She retired from Thomasville Fiber Co. She was of the Baptist faith. In 1949 she was crowned 'Miss Thomasville.'
Surviving are a son, Don Harrington and his wife, Elizabeth, of Chapel Hill; and two sisters, Shirley Harris and Madeleine Tysinger, both of Thomasville.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel by the Rev. Howard Allred. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beatrice Hopkins Green, 31, of 108-E Sherman St. died Sept. 3, 2000, in Durham, as a result of injuries received from a motor vehicle accident.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Sinai Faith, Hope and Love Ministries, U.S. 64. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Sylvia Harrison

Mrs. Sylvia Allred Harrison, 64, of 6620 Coltrane Mill Road died Sept. 5, 2000, at Moses Cone Hospital after a long illness.
She was a daughter of Leonard P. Allred Sr. and Elizabeth Isley Allred of Greensboro. She attended Greensboro High School and was a longtime homemaker. She retired from Sears and was a member of Burnetts Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, nursery worker and pianist. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Phillip H. Harrison, in 1978.
Surviving are her four children, Gail Shepherd of Burlington, Wallace Harrison and Debbie Cheek, both of Greensboro and John Harrison of Trinity; seven grandchildren, Christy Cheek, Kenny Cheek, Amy Cheek, Crystal Harrison, Cynthia Harrison, Brian Shepherd and Katie Shepherd; and one great-grandchild, Rebekah Cheek; and three brothers, the Rev. Dr. Leonard Allred Jr. of Winston-Salem, Doug Allred of Greensboro and Ronnie Allred of Florida.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Burnetts Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Chapel and other times at the residence.

Randy Eugene Hulsey, 35, of Hoover Hill Road died Sept. 5, 2000, at his residence.
He was born April 5, 1965, in Canton, Ga., a son of J.T. and Janice Norrells Hulsey. He was a resident of Trinity for the last 13 years and was employed with W.F. Mickey Body Co.
Surviving are his father of Canton; a brother, Ricky L. Hulsey and his wife, Donna, of Thomasville; his grandmother, Inez Hulsey of Canton; and an aunt, Brenda Hulsey of Canton.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Floyd Collins Whiting III, 23, of 1407-A E. Commerce Ave. died Sept. 3, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born May 27, 1977, in Cook County, Ill., a son of Floyd Whiting Jr. and Jaquelyn Whiting. He attended Andrews High School and was employed at New Market Foam Inc. He was preceded in death by his sister, Alica Jane Riddle.
Surviving are his son, Crayon Collins Whiting of New York; his father of Texas; his mother of High Point; five sisters, Michelle Renee Whiting, Tonya Monique Whiting, Mittie Marie Whiting and Andrea Joyce Riddle, all of High Point; his grandmother, Thelma Toliver of Chicago, Ill.; and the mother of his son, Victoria Jones of New York.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Hargett-Gilmore Funeral Service. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Marcia Cope Kendrick Farlow, 41, of 2423 Kivett Drive left this life to be with her heavenly Father Sept. 7, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born Dec. 4, 1958, in Guilford County, a daughter of Alvin Gene and Delores Shean Cope. She was an employee of Business Communications Inc. and a former executive secretary at High Point National Furniture Mart. She attended Church of God of Prophecy, where she was involved in the music ministry. Music was a very important part of her life. She was a loving mother.
Surviving are a daughter, Gretchen Nicole Kendrick of the residence; a son, Matthew Jon Kendrick of the residence; a sister, Mrs. Lori C. Jones of Jamestown; a brother, Dwight Gene Cope of High Point; and her parents of 3885 Wood Ave., Archdale.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Church of God of Prophecy by the Rev. Phil Smith and the Rev. Roby Ayers. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Sechrest Funeral Service, E. Lexington Avenue, High Point.

Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson Toler, 53, of 100 Beddington Road died Sept. 3, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born Feb. 27, 1947, a daughter of Rush Spencer Lee and Queenie Barrinio Wilson, who both preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, Vernes 'Ed' Toler of the residence; a daughter, Debra Toler of the residence; two sons, Joseph 'Joey' Toler and David Toler of the residence; a grandson, Jonathan Toler, of the residence; two sisters, Junnie Wilson and Brenda Smith; four brothers, Wristen Wilson, Robert Wilson, Russell Wilson and Spencer Wilson, all of Winston-Salem; two nieces; five nephews; and a special friend for many years, Vicki Stanley of High Point.
