Mrs. Eleanor Jean Berry Fiouris, 65, of Warf Road died Sept. 23, 2000, at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, N.J., after a brief illness.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Marie Ledford Galloway, 71, of 2496 Paris Farm Road died Sept. 24, 2000.
She was born May 18, 1929, in Haywood County, a daughter of Cordell and Estelle Rogers Ledford. She was a resident of this area the majority of her life. She retired from Thomasville Community General Hospital and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a former Sunday school teacher. On Aug. 28, 1956, she married Doyle B. Galloway who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Shirley) Drakulakos of Trinity and Mrs. Richard (Peggy) Leonard of Lexington; a son, Robert Thompson of the residence; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. James Banks and the Rev. Luther Harris. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home. The body will be at the funeral home until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

William Darrell Garner, 76, died Sept. 22, 2000, at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin.
He was born in High Point, N.C., March 9, 1924, a son of William Noah and Cora Lee Garner. He retired from Miller Desk as operations manager and was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army-Air Corps veteran, having served in World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lee Barnes Garner of Franklin; three sons, Bruce Garner and his wife, Sue, of Franklin, Philip Garner and his wife, Peggy, of Anderson, Ind., and Craig Garner of Thomasville, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Marcelene Guyer and Mrs. Donree Brower, both of High Point, Mrs. Judy Snider of Farmington, N.M.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sechrest Chapel, High Point, by the Rev. Kenneth Miller. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home in High Point.

Mrs. Ruth Enid Reynolds Kennedy, 76, of 506 Avalon Place died Sept. 25, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born Dec. 29, 1923, in Guilford County, a daughter of John Leslie and Myrtle Lula Moore Reynolds. She retired from Mayberry's Ice Cream Restaurants. She was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church in Greensboro and the Adult Sunday School Class. On Feb. 4, 1941, she married James Woodrow Kennedy who survives of Wesleyan Arms Inc.
Also surviving are a daughter, Linda Annette K. Jones of Walkertown; three sons, Steven Woodrow Kennedy of Galax, Va., Michael Lee Kennedy and Albert 'Buster' Kennedy, both of High Point; a sister, Lucille Stinson of Shallotte, S.C.; a brother, William Maxton Reynolds of High Point; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
There will be no funeral service. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point.

Ms. Sally Priscilla McKinney, 54, died Sept. 23, 2000, at High Point Care Center in High Point.

Mrs. Bonnie Kay Strickland Underwood, 45, of 907 Mill Ave. died Sept. 24, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 25, 1955, in Guilford County, a daughter of Glen 'Buck' Edward and Bonnie Booe Strickland. She was a resident of High Point the majority of her life and was a member of the Salvation Army Church. On Nov. 22, 1982, she married Thomas Eugene Underwood who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are her parents; a son, Christopher Strickland and his wife, Amanda, of High Point; two sisters, Shelby Darlene Wiseman and her husband, Larry, of High Point and Cathy Nguyen of Asheboro; a granddaughter, Monica Diane Strickland.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Home, High Point, by Capt. Thomas W. O'Bryant. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dorothy Catron Walker, 42, went to be with the Lord Sept. 25, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 18, 1958, in High Point, a daughter of John and Opal Lucille Tucker Catron. She was a department manager with Dillards at Oak Hollow Mall and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father July 8, 1999.
Surviving are her beloved son, Jonathan C. Rich and his father, S.A. Walker Jr. both of Archdale; her fiance', George Jacobs, of the residence; her mother of High Point; two sisters, Mrs. Kathy Everhart and her husband, Mike, of Lexington and Mrs. Edna Meredith and her husband, Roger, of Thomasville; two brothers, Raymond Catron and his wife, Ruby, and Hubert Catron, all of High Point.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Roger Weisner. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her brother, Raymond and Ruby Catron, 2116 Lancy Drive.

Mrs. Cheryl Wilson 'Butterball' Caldwell, 50, of 807 E. Farriss Ave. died Sept. 24, 2000, at her residence.
She was born in High Point, a daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Duke Wilson, who both preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of High Point and a former employee at International Home Furnishing Center. She attended First Emmanuel Baptist Church. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Caldwell and a brother, Thomas Wilson Jr.
Surviving are a daughter, Ms. Beverly Wilson of Charlotte; two brothers, Curry Gidderon and Clarence Gidderon; three sisters, Ms. Thomasine Wilson, Ms. Pamela Wilson and Patricia Wilson, all of High Point; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Emmanuel Baptist Church by the Rev. Lawrence Curtis. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Kate Ridge Craven, 71, formerly of High Point, died Sept. 26, 2000, at the residence of her daughter, 720 Harrington St. after several years of declining health.
She was born Sept. 8, 1929, in High Point, a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Lillie Anne Tysinger Ridge. She was a member of High Point Friends Meeting. She married Bill Craven, who preceded her in death in 1966.
Surviving are a daughter, Cathy Craven Hampton of Thomasville; a son, Bill Monroe Craven Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Heidi Kaye Hampton of Thomasville, David Craven of Nashville, and Kelly Garner of Honeapath, S.C.; a great-grandchild, Raylyn Joy Garner of Honeapath; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Randall and Mrs. Grace Ward, both of High Point; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home.

Lawrence G. Hauck, 88, of High Point Manor, formerly of Fairview, Ohio. died Sept. 26, 2000.
He was a graduate of Ohio University and served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II as a lieutenant commander in air combat intelligence. He retired in 1977 as news editor of the 'New York Times.'
Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 tonight at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point.
