Mrs. Mary Grubb Stiles, 80, of Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Greenwood Lane, died Jan. 15, 2001, at the nursing facility.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale.

Mrs. Grace Edith Yarborough Ward, 97, formerly of Cornell Drive, High Point, died Jan. 15, 2001, at GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Center.

Leone Welborn
High Point
Mrs. Leone Roberts Welborn, 88, of 2805 Westchester Drive died Jan. 14, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1912, in High Point, a daughter of Willis and Emma Hayworth Roberts. She was a homemaker and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. On May 1, 1929, she married Daniel Dexter Welborn, who preceded her in death April 18, 1990.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Miss Marjorie Welborn of the Presbyterian Home; and several cousins.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sechrest Chapel, East Lexington Avenue by the Rev. Garland C. Young. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum. No visitation will be held, but friends are welcome to visit until the hour of service at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Ave.
Memorials may be directed Wesley United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 5289, High Point, N.C. 27262 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Artis Caudle
High Point
Miss Artis A. Caudle, 85, went to be with the Lord Jan. 13, 2001, at the Evergreens Nursing Home following several years of declining health.
She was born in Chapel Hill on July 9, 1915, a daughter of Percy Marvin and Eliza White Caudle. She was a lifelong resident of High Point and a graduate of High Point High School, class of 1934. She owned and operated Gray-Art Flower Shop for 30 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Rankin Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mrs. Vallie Cannon, Mrs. Iris Jones and Miss Tressie Caudle; and a brother, P.M. Caudle Jr.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Faye Hucks and her husband, Boyd, of High Point and Miss Myra Caudle of High Point; one brother, Beverly Caudle and his wife, Romona, of High Point; three nieces; and five nephews.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rankin Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lee Pollock. Burial will be in New Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Randolph County. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to the service hour Tuesday at the church.
Harold C. Davis Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Grace Ellen Laughlin, 91, died Jan. 14, 2001.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jersey Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home.

Blanche Mann

Blanche Alice Culler Mann, 93, died Jan. 13, 2001.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Floral Garden Park in High Point. Penland and Sons Funeral Home in Swannanoa is in charge of arrangements.

Gayle Rebert
High Point
Mrs. Gayle Westwood Rebert, 66, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Jan. 13, 2001, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
She was born in Kittanning, Pa., to Paul and Goldie Westwood, who both preceded her in death.
Surviving are her loving husband of 45 years, Dennis M. Rebert Sr.; one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Rebert Jr. and Cheryl Paris Rebert Skeen; four grandchildren, Dustin, Sarah, Kerstee and Aaron; one brother, Paul Westwood, and his wife, Karen, of Jackson, Miss.; one niece, Joy of Jackson, Miss.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She loved her family of friends at Archdale United Methodist Church and Pilgrim Reformed Church of Lexington.
Memorials may be directed to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103.

Ralph Gary “Raoul” Spencer, 58, of 1205 Wendell Avenue died Jan. 13, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Hatie May Owenby Suggs, 84, died Jan. 14, 2001.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Randolph Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Powers, 461 Legend Dr., Asheboro. Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Helen Bozeman

Helen Louise Woosley Wood Bozeman, 66, of 6441 Holder Road, died Jan. 15, 2001.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 7:30-9:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at 1152 Century Park Ave., Kernersville.

Edna Chapman
High Point
Mrs. Edna Palmer Chapman, 94, of 1600 Merrimon Place died Jan. 15, 2001, at Graybrier Nursing Center after declining health of one year.
She was born Jan. 4, 1907, in Monroe, Ga., a daughter of Robert and Etta Whitley Palmer. She was a resident of High Point for 75 years. She was a member of High Point Friends Meeting, a member of the church circle and active in other church activities. On July 2, 1922, she married Alton Leroy Chapman, who preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1988.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Hazel C. Minnick of Bloomsburg, Penn., Mrs. Hilda C. LaPrade of 1218 Watermark Court and Mrs. Joyce C. Brown and her husband, Albert, of Hickory; two brothers, Robert K. Palmer and Joseph L. Palmer, both of Monroe, Ga.; five grandchildren, Harvey E. Minnick, Brenda C. Minnick, Cindy Amerson, Elizabeth Stultz and Jeannie Farrell; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at High Point Friends Meeting by the Rev. David Kingrey. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The body will be at Sechrest Funeral Home, E. Lexington Avenue, until placed in the meeting house 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to High Point Friends Meeting, 800 Quaker Lane, High Point, N.C. 27262.

Margaret Cox
High Point
Mrs. Margaret Harvey Cox, 86, of 3424 Pine Valley Road died Jan. 15, 2001, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was born Sept. 21, 1914, in Davidson County, a daughter of William Thomas and Estelle Tysinger Harvey. She was a lifelong resident of High Point. She was a homemaker and taught the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church Kindergarten. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. On Jan. 7, 1939, she married Grady C. Cox, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Linda Green of Lake Tillery, Mrs. Nancy Carroll of Greensboro, Mrs. Juanita Lovelace and Mrs. Vickie Ivey, both of High Point; two sons, Robert Clifton Cox of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Larry David Cox of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Foy Harvey of Lexington, 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ United Methodist Church by the Rev. Glenn L. Myers Jr. and the Rev. Lloyd G. Hunsucker. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The body will be at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point, until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Christ United Methodist Church, 1300 N. College Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262 or to a children’s charity of the donor’s choice.
