Mrs. Donna Jones Gleason Morgan, 47, of 311 Harbor Trace, died Jan. 21, 2001.
She was born April 20, 1953 in Guilford County, a daughter of Billy G. and Nan J. Jones. She spent most of her life in the High Point area. She was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are her parents; her husband, J.E. “Rusty” Morgan Jr. of the residence; two children, Chad Gleason of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Erica Gleason of Archdale; two sisters, Delores Fowler and her husband, Bob, of High Point and Debbie Williams and her husband, Alan, of Archdale; and three stepchildren, Billy Jack Weber Morgan and Hayley Darnell Morgan, both of High Point, and Kimberly Ann Morgan of Connecticut.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, by the Rev. John Allard and the Rev. Ray Hamilton. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her parents, 1022 Springwood Lane, Archdale.

Mrs. Catherine Outlaw Hillenbrand Morton, 80, of 102 Cottonwood Drive died Jan. 22, 2001, at her residence.
She was born July 6, 1920, in Bishopville, S.C., a daughter of John Ashby and Estelle Atkinson Outlaw. She was a resident of Jamestown for 28 years. She was associated with Sears Roebuck Co. for 14 years. She later was associated with Merle Norman Cosmetics for several years. She first married Larry Hillenbrand, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 3, 1990, she married Oren Wade Morton, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lola Alsbrook of Manning, S.C.; and three brothers, Edward and Moiese Outlaw, both of Santee, S.C., and Joseph Outlaw of Badin Lake.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sechrest Chapel by Deacon Joe Smith and Elder Kenneth Key. Entombment will be in Floral Garden Park Mausoleum. Visitation will 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sechrest Funeral Service.

Harold Wilson Barnes Sr., 78, of Linwood Southmont Road died at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 23, 2001, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, after an illness of one month with congestive heart failure.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Center Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Fronnie Morgan Brown, 86, of 576 Flint Hill Church Road died Jan. 23, 2001, at her residence.
She was a native of Moore County and attended the Robbins Bible Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Bennie T. Brown of High Point and Albert Brown of Robbins; a sister, Ruth Morgan of Carthage; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, by the Rev. Bennie Maness. Burial will be in Brown Family Cemetery, Flint Hill Church Road. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Joni Grindstaff Chisgar, 22, of 2244 Thayer Road died Jan. 22, 2001, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born Aug. 7, 1978, in High Point, a daughter of Vernon Lee Grindstaff Sr. and Sharon Hughes Gasque. She attended Trinity High School and was employed with Hillsville Family Restaurant. She was married to Dennis Chisgar, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are a daughter, Hailey Blanch Grindstaff of the residence; a son, Tyler Scott Grindstaff of the residence; her mother and stepfather, Sharon and Alonzo Gasque of Trinity; her father; two brothers, Vernon Lee Grindstaff Jr. of Trinity and Jimmy Everett Hughes of Sophia; paternal grandfather, Vernon Bowman of Winston-Salem; and maternal grandmother, Kathleen Hughes of Sophia.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. Stan Savage. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. William Hal Davis Jr., 47, formerly of Greensboro, died Jan. 21, 2001, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Hal “Bill” Davis Sr. and his mother, Alice Wilson Davis; and his wife, Val Davis.
Surviving are his daughter, Shannon Jewel Davis; his sister, Mary Lynn Ellison; stepmother, Thelma Davis; and a stepbrother, John Wilkins.

Roger Dale Hedrick, 57, of Hopewell Church Road, died Jan. 22, 2001, at his residence.
He was born March 4, 1943, in Guilford County, a son of Burnice and Lois Crotts Hedrick. He was a resident of the Trinity area most of his life. He was employed by Thomas Built Buses and later was part owner of Queen Anne Furniture Co. in Archdale. He was a member of Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting. He was married to the former Brenda Black, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are two sons, Dale Hedrick and his wife, Norma, of Archdale and Paul Hedrick and his wife, Kelly, of Trinity; three grandchildren, Adam Shew, Lindsay Hedrick and Lane Hedrick; his mother, Mrs. Lois Hill of Trinity; a sister, Joann Dalton of Thomasville; and two brothers, Bill Hedrick and Larry Hedrick, both of Trinity.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting by the Rev. Randal A. Quate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Nellie Nirene McCormick Parker, 81, formerly of Tate Street died Jan. 23, 2001, at Graybrier Nursing and Retirement Center in Trinity.
She was born Jan. 23, 1920, in High Point, a daughter of Walt and Annie Lou McCormick. She was a lifelong resident of High Point and previously employed with High Point Paper Box Co. She was of the Baptist faith. On Dec. 31, 1960, she was married to Fred Hudson Parker, who preceded her in death July 11, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Robert E. McCormick of 1608 Connor Place; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Tucker of High Point; and a brother, Roy McCormick of High Point.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sechrest Chapel, E. Lexington Avenue, by the Rev. David Perry. Burial will be private in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her brother, 611 Wise St.

Mrs. Jennie Lackey Taylor, 87, of Estes Street died Jan. 23, 2001.
She was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Randolph County, a daughter of Charles Wilson Lackey and Lizzie Hasatine Coltrane Lackey. She was a lifelong resident of this area. She retired from Stylecraft Inc. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was married to Olan Kenner Taylor, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Jeanette H. Walker and her husband, Bill, of Asheboro; a son, Jack C.Taylor and his wife, Cindy, of Thomasville; a stepson, David “Pete” Taylor and his wife, Ramona, of Thomasville; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Gantt of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Kenny Taylor, Tony Taylor and Dianne Solis; two great-grandchildren, Stacy McCorquodale and B.J. Alford; two great-great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Davis and Gloria Davis; and two stepgrandchildren, Tracy Taylor and Dave Taylor.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel by the Rev. Amos Mashburn. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her son, Jack Taylor, 109 Pleasant Drive.
