Funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Original Church of God by Rev. Pat Eller and Rev. Edmond Lambeth. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro.
Michael Almond

Michael K. Almond, 29, died Feb. 14, 2001, at Duke Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 6, 1971, in Bridgeport, Conn. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Kathryn Almond and his aunt, Linda Almond.
Surviving are his father, Glenn Almond; his mother, Sharron Picard and her husband, Paul; a sister, Susan Caudell and her husband, Terry; a niece, Amber Caudell; two uncles, Guy Almond and his wife, Liz, and Gary Almond and his wife, Brenda; his girlfriend, Joyce Durham; and several cousins.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruth Lowe Bodenhamer, 85, died Feb. 15, 2001, at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation For The Triad after several years of declining health.
She was born May 31, 1915, in High Point, a daughter of Cicero and Dora Reddick Lowe. She was a lifelong resident of High Point and a homemaker. She was a member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Geter M. Bodenhamer and a son, Perry G. Bodenhamer.
Surviving are a son, Deanie Bodenhamer of Kernersville; her daughter-in-law, Peggy Bodenhamer of Kernersville; a sister, Mrs. Lacy Cox of High Point; four grandchildren, Debbie Motsinger, and her husband, David, of Winston-Salem, Teressa Swaim, and her husband, Hal, of Winston-Salem, Tonya Proctor, and her husband, Mickey, of Kernersville and Kelly Carter, and her husband, Justin, of High Point; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jack Rose and the Rev. Paul Sparks. Burial will be in Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her son, 3981 Abbotts Creek Church Road, Kernersville.
J. Bussard Sr.

Joseph Henry Bussard Sr., 83, of Britthaven of Davidson Nursing Home died Feb. 14, 2001, at the nursing center.
He was born Sept. 20, 1917, in New Brunswick, Md., a son of Joseph H. and Elsie Naomi Bussard, who both preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran. He retired from Mountain Manor. He was very active with High Point A.A. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Tim (Kathy) Cox, Mrs. Danny (Lori) Oakley, and Mrs. Rick (Lisa) Jackson, all of Thomasville, Mrs. Blair (Vicky) Nicholson of Liberty and Mrs. Wanda Jo Kostelny of Baltimore; three sons, Joseph Henry Bussard Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, Gregory E. Bussard of Carrollton, Ga., and Rick Bussard of Thomasville; a brother, the Rev. John Edward Bussard and his wife, Ann, of Mars Hill; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 7 p.m. Friday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel by the Rev. John Holsenback and the Rev. John Bussard. Visitation will be Friday immediately after the service. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Zadie Caudle

Mrs. Zadie Caudle, 86, of 711 Laurel St. died Feb. 15, 2001, at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living in Kernersville.
She was born Feb. 2, 1915, in Leeksville, a daughter of Albert Yancy and Jenny Dell Gardner Buck, who both preceded her in death. She was a member of Winston Baptist Church. She worked for Hanes Hosiery for a number of years and later was an electrical worker for the U.S. Air Force in Norfolk, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vilas Caudle and her son, Jerry Caudle.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Elaine Caudle; three grandchildren, Tracy Kucera, Chad Caudle and Rich Caudle, all of Dallas; a sister, Betty Barrow of Kernersville; two brothers, Gilbert Buck of High Point, and James Buck of Norfolk; a special niece, Carol McCune of Clemmons; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Vogler & Sons Main Street Chapel. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Philip Cloutier

Philip R. Cloutier, 80, of Haynes Creek Drive, formerly of Bowling Green, Ky., died at 5 p.m. Feb. 9, 2001, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
He was born Feb. 16, 1920, in Superior, Wis., a son of Eustace and Catherine Hennessy Cloutier, who both preceded him in death. He was of the Catholic faith. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and his judicial degree from the University of Louisville. He retired as a chemical engineer and also as an attorney. He was the founder of Boderland Books. On June 21, 1943, he married Jean Burns Cloutier, who survives .
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anne Johnson, and her husband, Kent, of Murray and Mrs. Susan Spies, and her husband, Woody, of Lansing, Kan.; two sons, Dr. Raymond Cloutier and his wife, Joyce, of Bowling Green and Dr. Michael Cloutier, and his wife, Nancy, of High Point, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Toivanen, and her husband, T. Wayne, of Alexandria, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Memorial service was 10 a.m. Feb. 12 at St. John's Episcopal Church, Murray, Ky., by the Rev. Carolyn West and Father Ray Goetz.

Mrs. Mildred Faye “Pudden” Foust, 73, of Burton Avenue died Feb. 13, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 30, 1928, in High Point, a daughter of Seth and Florence Collins Hudson. She retired from Eckerd Drugs as a cosmetician after 53 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ashly Foust.
Surviving are two daughters, Ann Marie Sechrist, and her companion, Lloyd Roland Thomas, of High Point, and Christy Faye Anthony, and her husband, Gary, of Jamestown; two brothers, Willard Hudson of Chicago, Ill., and Glen Hudson and his wife, Carol, of Charlotte; two sisters, Frances Hayworth of High Point and Grace Brown and her husband, Dr. Ben Brown, of Raleigh; two grandchildren, William Arlen Anthony and Ashley Anna Faye Anthony of Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Floral Garden Park Cemetery, by the Rev. Terry Kersey. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home.

Roy Lee “R.L.” Gates, 73, of Eastdale Drive died at 5:55 a.m. Feb. 15, 2001, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after declining health of a year.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
Fannie Graham

Mrs. Fannie Graham, 78, of 914 Willoubar Terrace died Feb. 14, 2001.
Surviving are three sons, Clarence Graham of Woodbridge, Va., Orlando Bright of High Point and Lee Foye of New Jersey; four daughters, Helen Lloyd of High Point, Remona McFadden of High Point, Callie Boyd of High Point and Gloria Thomas of Dallas; four brothers, Willie J. Williams and Walter Bright, both of Newark, N.J., Cecil Bright of Sumpter, S.C. and Marvin Bright Jr. of Bennettsville, S.C.; four sisters, Ruby L. Watson of Washington, D.C., Hester McCrae, Calista Adams and Olivia Williams, all of Bennettsville; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be noon Saturday at Living Water Baptist Church. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m.-noon Saturday at the church.

Virginia Jennings

Mrs. Virginia Beatrice Porter Jennings, 72, of 3705 Luck Drive died Feb. 15, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born Sept. 1, 1928, in Carroll County, Va., a daughter of James Stewart and Julia Ann Sisk Porter, who both preceded her in death. She retired from Anvil Brand Inc. after 20 years of service and she also later retired from Henredon Furniture Industries with 25 years of service. She was of the Holiness faith and was a member of High Point Sundowners and Randolph Rambler's camping clubs. On Sept. 21, 1946, she was married to Elmer Vernard Jennings who survives of the residence. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosaletta Elkins.
Also surviving are a son, Jim Jennings and his wife, Dorothy, of Thomasville; a granddaughter, Tabatha Donellen Jennings of Thomasville; a great-granddaughter, Kendre'; and a brother, Bradford “Zelmar” Porter of Carroll County.
Funeral will be 8 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. J.B. Jennings and the Rev. Randy Ingram. Visitation will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside service will be private.

Mrs. Yunoka Dawn Wood King, 61, died Feb. 14, 2001, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro.
Surviving are her husband, Claude H. King, of the residence; a brother, Arland R. Wood, and his wife, Brenda, of Greensboro; two stepdaughters; and three stepsons.

Mrs. Christine DeHart Miller, 79, of 209 Friendly Ave. died Feb. 15, 2001, at her residence.
She was born March 9, 1921, in Swain County, a daughter of Harvey and Polly Holden DeHart. She was a resident of High Point most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her flower garden. She liked to make quilts and loved gospel music. She was married to William Miller, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Annie Mae Watkins, a sister and two brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Ms. Addie Cartwright of Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Etta Morris and her husband, Felton, of Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Mason of Topton and Ms. Kathelene Pritchett of High Point; two brothers, Norman DeHart and Johnny DeHart, both of Thomasville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, by the Rev. Hoyt Mason and the Rev. Ronnie Mason. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery, Greensboro. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
