Glenn Wade Morgan, 65, of 411 E. Lexington Ave. died Feb. 6, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 21, 1935, in Guilford County, a son of Jonah A. and Ola Mae Johnson Morgan. He was a lifelong resident of High Point. He was formerly employed with Northwood Oil Co. He served 12 years with the U.S. Air Force. On Feb. 25, 1996, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Presley Morgan.
Surviving are two brothers, Cleo Morgan and Wayne Morgan, both of High Point; two nephews, Jeff Morgan and his wife, Debra, of Simpsonville, S.C., and Michael Morgan and his wife, Robin, of Thomasville; and two nieces, Teresa Joyce and her husband, Ronnie, of South Port and Marilyn Carter and her husband, Charles, of Liberty.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, by the Rev. Roland R. Jones. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the residence of a brother, Wayne Morgan, 1822 Welborn Drive.

Mrs. Lola Mae Owens, 84, of Libertywoods Nursing Home, formerly of Lake Road, died Feb. 6, 2001, at Community General Hospital.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Wayside Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church. Visitation will be at the residence of her daughter, Henrietta Norman, 211 Oak Ave., Lexington.

Mrs. Hilda Hedrick Parks, 66, of Parks Road died at 10:35 p.m. Feb. 6, 2001, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after several years of declining health.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Beck’s United Church of Christ. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the residence.
Maude Shelton

Mrs. Maude M. Shelton, 85, of 1613 Willowmore St. died Feb. 7, 2001, at her residence.
She was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Dixie-Bell Textile in 1982.
Surviving are her two daughters, Jerry Parrish, of the residence and Evelyn Jordan and her husband, Howard L., of Seminole, Fla.; her son, Tommy Shelton and his wife, Pat, of Archdale; a sister, Gracie Moser of Greensboro; a brother P.R. McGehee of Stokesdale; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Hanes-Lineberry, Sedgefield Chapel and other times at the residence.

Juanita Ayscue

Mrs. Juanita V. Harris Ayscue, 80, of Westwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Wesley Drive, High Point, died Feb. 5, 2001, at the center.
She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Franklin County, a daughter of Julius Fletcher and Julia Frasier Harris. She was a resident of High Point most of her life and was employed 20 years with Custom Processing Inc. She was a member of Green Street Baptist Church. She was married to Percy Henderson Ayscue, who preceded her in death in 1996.
Surviving are two sons, E. Harold Ayscue and his wife, Emily, of Chapel Hill and Douglas H. Ayscue and his wife, Shirley, of Archdale; three daughters, Brenda A. Davis, Cathy Michael and Connie Cody DeFriece, all of High Point; two brothers, Al B. Harris of Jamestown and Grady Harris of Fenton, Mich.; a sister, Swannie Stallings of Bunn; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Floral Garden Park Cemetery by the Rev. Gene A. Phillips. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.
Wallace Campbell
High Point
Wallace Gwyn Campbell, 75, of 614 Old Mill Road died Feb. 8, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born July 1, 1925, in Davidson County, a son of George Dewey and Nan Cecil Campbell. He attended High Point University and served during World War II in the United States Navy. He had lived most of his life in High Point and was employed as a mail handler with the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of Oakview United Methodist Church. On April 8, 1950, he married Lucille Hoell, who survives of the home. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harland and Earl Campbell and a grandson, Colin Campbell.
Also surviving are a daughter, Teresa Gwynn Campbell of High Point; four sons, Larry Wayne Campbell and wife, Debbie, of Greensboro, David Glenn Campbell and wife, Mary, of Siloam, Terry Alan Campbell of High Point and Steven Douglas Campbell and wife, Ann, of High Point; a sister, Mrs. Almeda Krahl of Oneida, N.Y.; and five grandchildren, Mia Campbell, Whitney Campbell, Bryana Campbell, Jacqueline Campbell Rock and Sean Campbell.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Floral Garden Park Cemetery by Pat Campbell. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Ave.

Earl Monroe Hedrick, 72, of 659 Ashland St. died Feb. 7, 2001, at his residence.
He was born April 11, 1928, in Forsyth County, a son of Larry Bernum and Eva Throck Morton Hedrick. A resident of the Archdale area all of his adult life, he was retired from Hedrick Auto Sales and was a member of Blessings Baptist church. On March 20, 1981, he married the former Helen Nichols, who survives of the residence. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are three children, Wayne Hedrick and wife, Wanda, Randy Hedrick and wife, Tammie, and Mrs. Eddie (Patti) Johnson, all of Thomasville; three stepchildren, Joe Causey, Frankie Causey and wife, Carol, all of Thomasville and Mrs. Ronnie (Teresa) Pearce of Wake Forest; a sister, Hazel (Midge) McCarter of Thomasville; seven brothers, Wade Hedrick, Larry (Junior) Hedrick and Ernest Hedrick, all of Archdale, Roy Hedrick of Summerfield, Roger Hedrick of High Point, Jim Hedrick of Thomasville and Johnny Hedrick of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Jerry Hedrick, Regina Wright, Mark Hedrick, April Schaal, Renee Johnson, Chad Hedrick, Kelly Johnson and Hannah Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Macy Hedrick, Ryan Hedrick and Luke Hedrick.

Phillip Lanier

Phillip Wagner Lanier, 40, a former resident of 214 E. Peachtree St. died Feb. 7, 2001, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for the Triad. He had been in declining health for 2½ years.
He was born Nov. 9, 1960, in Guilford County to Jake and Hazel Wagner Lanier. A resident of High Point most of his life, he attended Christ Presbyterian Church. He had been self employed in the home improvement business. On Dec. 15, 1995, he married Janice Wood, who survives of High Point.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two sisters, Ms. Karen Lanier of Chester, N.Y. and Mrs. Richard (Janet) Geisler of Warwick, N.Y.; and two brothers, Stephen Daniel Lanier of Worthville and Dale Scott Lanier of High Point.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Christ Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Ben Trawick. A private burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8 tonight at the Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, and other times at his parents home, 400 Lindale Drive, High Point.
