Rev. Foster Loflin

The Rev. Foster R. Loflin, 90, of 2066 N.C. 109 South died Feb. 23, 2001, after declining health since November.
The Rev. Loflin was born May 14, 1910, in Davidson County, a son of N.E. Loflin and Venie Myers Loflin. He was a retired minister in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church and served as a pastor of churches in Mocksville, Sandy Ridge, Shoals, Seagrove, Statesville and Albemarle.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel Yates Loflin of the residence; a daughter, Mrs. Fran L. Craven and her husband, Resal Craven, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a grandson, Michael Craven of Taichung, Taiwan; a brother, Reid Loflin of Denton; and a sister, Ocie L. Fine of Denton.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Alleghany United Methodist Church by the Rev. Peter McGuire and the Rev. Randy Lucas. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. JoAnne Myers McManus, 57, of Evergreens Nursing Center Inc., formerly of 505 Ellwood Drive, died Feb. 25, 2001, at the center.

Larry Ronald Mowery, 63, of 109-A Cornell Drive died Feb. 26, 2001, at Wesley Long Community Hospital.

Carl Grady Parker, 60, of Enterprise Road died at 8:49 p.m. Feb. 25, 2001, at Forsyth Medical Center after an illness of four days.

Mrs. Gladys Richmond Pullin, 76, of 102 Brown St. died Feb. 26, 2001, at Community General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born Sept. 21, 1972, a son of Jeffery Leonard Atkins and Joy Ann Layne Atkins.

Mr. Clyde Hill Hedrick, 74, of 1561 Stemp-Everhart Road, died March 2, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Davidson County, a son of Henry Hedrick and Bessie Curry Hedrick. He retired from Thayer-Coggins Inc. of High Point. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a former member of Johnsontown United Methodist Church. On Aug. 19, 1944, he was married to Lucille Hege, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Rita Diane) Allen and Ms. Brenda Darnell Whitt, both of Thomasville; a sister, Mrs. Edna James of Thomasville; a granddaughter, Mrs.. Michael (Angie) Pavisich; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla Nichole Pavisich and Evan Kyle Pavisich.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Beck and the Rev. Jeanne W. Grogan. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Mary Rodgers Johnson, 78, of 3109 Rockingham Road, died March 1, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born in Greenville, S.C., a daughter of Walter and Lula Morgan Rodgers, who both preceded her in death. On Oct. 15, 1988, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Johnson Sr.
Surviving are a son, Fred A. Johnson Jr. and his wife, Peggy; two granddaughters, Dana Hiatt and Kelly Ward; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ward, Bailey Ward and Morgan Hiatt, all of High Point.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. today at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, by the Rev. John C. Fitzgerald. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Greenville, S.C.

Mrs. Helen Rose Crisler Little, 85, died March 2, 2001, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
She was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Wilsons Church, Ga., a daughter of Robert Garr Crisler and Thara Richey Crisler. She was a homemaker and a member of Unity United Methodist Church. On June 25, 1938, she was married to Max Everett Little, who preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1981.
Surviving are three daughters, Dr. Barbara Gottesman of San Francisco, Calif., Judith Proctor and Pete, both of Vale, and Dr. Carol Sena of High Point; two sons, Bob Little and his wife, Martha, and Jim Little and his wife, Pat, all of Thomasville; two sisters, Sadie Turner of Thomasville and Mrs. Bernice Parker of Heflin, Ala.; two brothers, Donald Crisler of Alpharetta, Ga., and Jack Crisler of Athens, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, Leigh Anne, Kevin, Michael, Ben, Alex, Jason, Elizabeth, Patrick, April, Joe and Robin; and a great-grandson, Ronnie.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Unity United Methodist Church by the Rev. DeForest E. Hillyer Jr. and the Rev. Wilbur A. Jarrett. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will be at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home until the hour of service. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at their respective homes.
