Ruby Royals
Trinity - Mrs. Ruby Marie Lackey Royals of GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Center died Jan. 31, 2000, at the home, after a period of declining health.
She was born Feb. 8, 1911, in Stokes County, a daughter of John Robert and Nancy Lou Martin Lackey. She was a retired homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was married to Elmer Clayton Royals, who preceded her in death in 1982.
Surviving are two daughters, Eleanor R. Cooper and her husband, John, of Archdale, and Jennifer R. Sawyer and her husband, Thomas, of Greensboro; a brother, Guy Martin Lackey of Lake Clark Shores, Fla.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Cemetery by the Rev. Chris J. Bennett. There will be no visitation.

Zelma Sellers
High Point - Mrs. Zelma Belo Sellers, 90, formerly of Trinity, died Jan. 31, 2000, at Randolph Memorial Hospital, Asheboro.
She was born in Randolph County, a daughter of Arthur and Molly Massey Belo. She resided in New York more than 40 years and returned to the Trinity community in 1983, where she became actively involved in church programs at St. Mary’s United Methodist Church until her health started to fail, which curtailed her active participation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Sellers and a daughter, Ernestine Zella Mae Sellers.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Luevenie Belo Austin of Asheboro.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s United Methodist Church by the Rev. Angela Pleasants. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church and other times at the residence of Mrs. Luevenie Austin, 306 Independence Drive, Asheboro.
Memorials may be directed to the Welfare Fund of St. Mary’s United Methodist Church, 5583 Rockford Drive, Trinity, N.C. 27370.

Lexington - Mrs. Nancy Faye Swink Shaw, 45, of Briggs Road died Feb. 1, 2000, at her residence after an illness of 18 months.

High Point - Mrs. Florence Grace Millikan Welch, 98, of Health Haven Nursing Home, Greensboro, died Feb. 1, 2000, at her residence.

Lillian Wright
High Point - Mrs. Lillian Smith Wright, 89, formerly of Ethel Drive, died Jan. 31, 2000, at Randolph Hospital following several years of declining health.
She was born in High Point July 22, 1910, a daughter of George and Cora Mounce Smith, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a volunteer to the Salvation Army, and a member of Highland Baptist Church. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Wright; a daughter, Jamie Adona Wright; a brother, Fred Smith; a sister, Nellie Smith Bishop; two nephews, Jerry Lynn Bishop and Roger Bishop.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Keith Letterman. Burial will be in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Martha Clodfelter
High Point - Mrs. Martha Mae Everhart Clodfelter, 90, of 205 Dogwood Circle died Jan. 30, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1909, in Forsyth County, a daughter of Franklin and Cynthia Bell Everhart, who preceded her in death. She married Edward Newton Clodfelter, who also preceded her in death, Dec. 10, 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church and the Ladies Circle. She also was preceded in death by a son, Donald E. Clodfelter; three sisters, Mary Payne, Hazel Payne and Gladys Miller; three brothers, Ed Everhart, Will Everhart and Joe Everhart.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Joan C. Hedgecock of the residence; two granddaughters, Sherri Hedgecock of High Point and Jill Parrish of Trinity; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Parrish, Brittany Parrish and Michael Parrish, all of Trinity.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dana McKim and the Rev. Ellis Rouse. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service of High Point.

Ruby Hepler
High Point - Mrs. Ruby Walker Hepler, 84, of Sunbridge of the Triad, formerly of E. Grimes Avenue, died Jan. 30, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born in High Point, a daughter of Nettie Walker, who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of High Point, and prior to failing health nine years ago, attended Temple Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion J. Hepler, Jan. 17, 199l.
Surviving are a son, Jerry Walker and his wife, Arlene; a grandson, John McInnis III and his friend, Darlene Cannon, both of High Point; and very close friends, among them, James and Carolyn Brockington, Nelson Stanback and family, Sharon Anderson and family, who were all very dear to her.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Haizlip Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Ron Wilkins. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1:30-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel and other times at the residence of John McInnis, 1424 Furlough Ave.
