COLERAIN -- Mrs. Bonnie Jernigan Allen, 45, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Massey Funeral Home in Aulander is handling the arrangements, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6, with the Rev. Paul Ange officiating.
Burial will follow in Ahoskie Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., today, Feb. 5, and other times at 307 Talmage Ave., Ahoskie.

ROANOKE RAPIDS -- William C. Crew, 75, of 228 1/2 Hamilton St., Roanoke Rapids, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Britthaven of Enfield.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Thursday, Feb. 7 at Roanoke Salem Baptist Church in Garysburg, with the Rev. Robert E. Sessoms officiating.
Cofield Funeral Home in Weldon is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the chapel.
Annie Meeks Conner
AULANDER -- Mrs. Annie Meeks Conner, 81, of Aulander, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Conner was the wife of the late Mack Conner and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara C. Hasty and her husband, J.R., of Seaboard, and Joyce C. Nichols and her husband, Melvin, of Ahoskie; a son, Eddie Conner of Winton; five grandchildren, Mickie Hasty, Tracy Todd, Jason Conner, Ann-Marie Nichols and Mandy Nichols; and two great-grandsons, David Todd and Trent Todd.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tom Lamb officiating.
Burial will follow in Aulander Cemetery in Aulander.

DARLINGTON -- Dorothy Edmondson Joyner, 59, of 4108 Ridgecrest Road, Darlington Community, died Friday, May 17, 2002 at her residence.
Mrs. Joyner was born in Franklinton, the daughter of the late Roy T. and Rena Belle Edmondson.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbur Joyner; two daughters, Shelby E. Gray and her husband, Terry, and Doris J. Ivey and her husband, Doug; one son, Terry L. Edmondson; one stepson, Samuel Joyner and his wife, Janet; one stepdaughter, Margaret J. Miles of Roanoke Rapids; three granddaughters, Carly Jo Gray, Megan L. Edmondson and Ashley Ann Ivey; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Skipper of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mrs. Rena Williams of Cross Plain, Tenn.; one brother, Gene Gray Edmondson of Roanoke Rapids.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Monday, May 20 at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. James McLean officiating.
Entombment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hockaday Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Virginia Garlick 'Ginny' Hayes
ROANOKE, Va. -- Virginia Garlick "Ginny" Hayes, 82, of Roanoke, Va., died Monday, April 7, 2003.
Mrs. Hayes was a native of Weldon, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward G. Garlick of Weldon.
She was a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
She was a graduate of Randolph-Macon Women's College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. "Jimmy" Hayes, Jr.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Edward G. "Ned" Hayes and Susan K. Hayes of Roanoke, and James F. "Jim" Hayes, III and Carol G. Hayes of Richmond, Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Robin H. and Carl Bauer of Jasper, Ind.; a son, S. Wayne Hayes of Salem; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Isbel G. Brown of Roanoke Rapids; a sister-in-law, Virginia H. Matthews of Salem; a brother-in-law, Thomas F. Hayes of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 11, at Sherwood Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service for family and friends at 2 p.m., at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1831 Deyerle Rd. SW 24018.
The Rev. Robert Fiedler and the Rev. Dusty Fiedler will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Garysburg UMC Endowment Fund, and mailed to The United Methodist Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 10955, Raleigh NC 27605.

She is survived by two sons, Alonza "Tyson" Williams and Michael "Mike-Mike" Ponton, both of the home; her mother, Lula Bradley Brown of Halifax; her father, Rudolph Vincent of Roanoke Rapids; two brothers, Cedric Vincent of Weldon, and Alton Vincent of Roanoke Rapids; nine aunts, Ruth Hampton and Lizzie Terry, both of Weldon, Jeanette Williams of Largo, Md., and Maggie Clark, Queen Hockaday, Carrie Wilkins, Patricia Alexander, Doris Vincent and Sharon Johnson, all of Roanoke Rapids; three uncles, Charlie Bradley, Jr. of Weldon, James Vincent of Roanoke Rapids, and Wayne Vincent of Gaston; a special friend, Michael "Boin" Ransom of Roanoke Rapids; one nephew, Cedric, Jr.; three nieces, Shanique, Mukaya and Precious; eight great-aunts, Katie Harrison of Weldon, Mittie Handsome of Roanoke Rapids, Mattie Woods of Suffolk, Va., Susie Mallory, Lena Mallory, Hattie Bradley, and Nancy Porch, all of Gaston, and Laura Rooks of Garysburg; one sister-in-law, Sheryl Vincent of St. Stephen, S.C.; and a close friend, Tameka Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, at Evangelistic Church of Deliverance, Weldon, with the Rev. Albert E. Clark Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
