AHOSKIE Louise Feher Guttu, age 92, formerly of Ahoskie, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Ayden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ayden, NC.
Mrs. Guttu was born in Harvey, IL on September 10, 1918, a daughter of the late Frank and Grace Rubendunst Feher.
She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Ahoskie where she was also a former member of the Vestry.
She was a life member and Past Worthy Matron of the Ahoskie Order of the Eastern Star.
Louise had retired as manager of Home Savings and Loan of Ahoskie and Murfreesboro.
She was the widow of Frank Guttu.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Stephen Guttu and wife, Martha, of Edenton and William Guttu and wife, Amy, of Greenville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Burk and husband, Ryan, of Lillington, Jacob Guttu of Greenville, Josh Maness of Fayetteville, Meghan Maness of Greenville, Stephanie Beaman and husband, Clif, of Edenton and Sarah Jones and husband, R.D., of Gonzales, LA; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Dickie Feher and his wife, Kay, of Ahoskie.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Ahoskie with the Rev. Jeff Douglas officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 263, Ahoskie, NC, 27910.

COLERAIN Robert Cecil "Bobby" Turner, Sr. of Eugene Freeman Road, Colerain, NC, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.
He was born in Bertie County on July 12, 1929 to the late Raleigh Clarence "RC" and Mary Askew Turner.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Leroy and Alfred Benton Turner; and his sister, Murrell Holloman Turner; and his great-granddaughter, Kyla McKay Turner.
He was a self employed farmer, a member of the Ruritans and member of Askewville Assembly of God.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Windsor with the Rev. Darrell McClarien officiating. Burial will follow in Perry-White Cemetery, Hwy 17N, Merry Hill, NC.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Walker Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Edna Perry Turner; his sons, Michael and wife, Carolyn, of Suffolk, VA, and Robert C. Turner, Jr., of Colerain; his daughter, Brenda Turner of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Dallas Arron Turner, Christy Nikki Turner, Stephanie Blacknall and Mickey Turner; and great-grandchildren, Mickaylee Turner and Logan Turner. AULANDER Harold Lloyd Holloman Sr., 78, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Greenville surrounded by his family.
He was born in Wilson County to the late Ezekiel and Margaret Holloman.
He loved his wife of 49 years, their four children and eleven grandchildren very much.
When his grandkids played sports, he was their biggest fan.
He was well-known for riding the back roads of Eastern North Carolina visiting farming friends and loved visiting family & friends in Walstonburg, a place dear to his heart.
Mr. Holloman was a member of Aulander Baptist Church.
He served as Mayor of Aulander and enjoyed serving his community.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Billie Frazier Holloman; daughters, Karen Holloman Early and husband, Randy, of Aulander, and Allison Holloman Avery and husband, Mike, of Rocky Mount; a son, Hal Holloman and wife, Blair, of Greenville; grandchildren, Bryan Britton, Alden Early, Austin Britton, Luke Holloman, Alissa Avery, Zeke Holloman, Katie Avery, Meg Avery, Jessie Holloman, Maggie Holloman and John Avery; son-in-law, Tim Britton; sisters-in-law, Faye, Emory, Mary Jo and Wendy; brothers-in-law, Charlie, Ray and Lonnie; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Holloman was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Holloman Britton; and brother, Donnie Holloman of Walstonburg.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Golden Living Center for the love and care theyve shown to Mr. Holloman and his family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Robbie Parker officiating.
Private interment will be at Aulander Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home in Ahoskie.

GREENVILLE Sadie Bridgers Vann Bridgers, 87, formerly of Conway, passed away on Friday, October, 21, 2011 in Greenville surrounded by her family.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Conway Baptist Church by the Reverends Willie A. McGlohon and James Hester.
Burial will follow in The Conway Cemetery.
Mrs. Bridgers, born November 5, 1923, was a native and lifelong resident of Northampton County.
She grew up in the Town of Milwaukee, (Kirby Township) and graduated from Conway High School.
On December 21, 1945, she married Charlie Wilson Bridgers and moved to Conway and became a homemaker.
Sadie later attended Chowan College in Murfreesboro.
She worked for the Town of Conway as the town clerk, treasurer, and tax collector for over 26 years.
She was a very active member of the Women Missionary Union, was church treasurer for many years, was a member of the church choir and served on the Board of Trustees.
She taught a Sunday school class for the youth and was a member of The Nellie Deloatch Group and The Lonnie Sasser Class.
She enjoyed meeting people and traveling with her family and friends, cooking, and working in her garden.
Sadie moved to Greenville in 2009 to be closer to her only child and his family.
Mrs. Bridgers was preceded in death on November 13, 1993 by her husband of over 48 years, Charlie Wilson Bridgers; her parents, Norfleet Harold Vann and Sadie Zera Bridgers; and a sister, Dorothy Vann.
She is survived by her son, Charles L. Bridgers and wife, Mattie Moye, of Greenville; three grandsons, Jonathan Vann Bridgers of Greenville, Christopher Holton Bridgers and wife, Lindsay, of Morehead, City, and Andrew Davis Bridgers of Greenville; great-grandson, Holton Anderson Bridgers of Morehead City; brother, Norf Harold Vann of Chesapeake, VA; niece, Elaine Vann Massey and husband, Doug, of Wilmington; and nephew, Norf Harold Vann Jr. of Chesapeake, VA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Conway Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the physicians and staff that provided excellent care for her in Golden Living Center.
They also would like to thank her special friends for their love and support throughout the years.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
