Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles White. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Vanessa Y. Murchison of Sanford; a son, Fred B. Murchison Jr. and wife Margaret of Sanford; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

SILER CITY - Doris Jean "Dot" Mason, 54, of 35 Joe Robinson Road died Sunday (10/31/04) at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Pine Hill UCC Church, Siler City. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Earl Lindell Mason; children Lerah Snipes and Trazon Mason; her mother, Nellie Mae Glover; sisters Pamela Luck, Brenda Woods, Stella Fox, Debbie Tysor and husband Charles and the Rev. Mary Jackson and husband James, all of Siler City, and Edna Moffitt of Liberty; brothers Karl Glover, Bobby Glover and wife LeAnne, Raymond Glover and wife Patricia, Wayne Glover and Leonard Glover, all of Siler City; two uncles, an aunt, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pine Hill UCC Church.

SANFORD - Graveside service for John Joseph Crawford, 77, of 1007 Courtland Village, who died Thursday (10/28/04), was held Tuesday at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, with military rites, by the Rev. Scott Yow.

SANFORD - Graveside service for Paul Joyner Williams, 77, of 3082 St. Andrews Church Road, who died Sunday (10/31/04), was held Tuesday at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church cemetery by the Rev. Danny Redman.
Pallbearers were John Ed Matthews, Tommy Harrington, Zeb Harrington Jr., Lonnie Williams and Crane Wakefield.

BROADWAY - Funeral for Kathryn Allred Sercy Holland, 76, of Broadway, who died Sunday (10/31/04), was held Tuesday at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff Davis. Burial followed in Harnett Memorial Park.
Special music was provided by Mary Margaret Smith and Rodney Tart.
Pallbearers were Cecil Peebles, Ray O'Quinn, Marvin Murray, Jim Flanagan, Martha Usher and Billy Ray Matthews.

SANFORD - Robert Junior Brown, 78, of 1925 Carr Creek Drive died Tuesday (11/2/04) at Central Carolina Hospital.

SANFORD - Pervis Lee Snipes, 61, of Sanford died Tuesday (11/2/04) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
The family will be at the home of Helen Dorsett, 184 Dorsett Road.

THELMA BUTTS
LILLINGTON - Thelma Partin Butts, 86, of Lillington, died Monday (4/67/03) at Good Hope Hospital.
A native of Harnett County, she was a daughter of the late Billy and Ida Partin of Angier. She and her husband, the late Roy Butts, owned and operated Butt's Grocery and Farm Supply in the Flat Branch community for many years. She was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church and charter member of the Lillington chapter of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Butts, and a son, Douglas Butts.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Harmony Baptist Church in Bunnlevel by the Rev. Grady Edwards and the Rev. Burt Pitchford. Burial will be in Harnett Memorial Park.
She is survived by daughters, Joyce Brown and husband Aubert of Lillington and Sue Honeycutt and husband Ted of Angier; sisters-in law, Inez Gray of Bunnlevel and Madge Butts of Lillington; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

LEOLA BUCKNER
SILER CITY - Leola Johnson Buckner, of 5454 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, died Sunday (4/6/03) at home.
A native of Chatham County, she was the youngest of 16 children. She was the oldest member of Rocky River Baptist Church. She was a member of the Loyalty Sunday School Class and was retired from United Telephone of the Carolinas.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Rocky River Baptist Church by the Rev. Greg W. Burris and the Rev. Gene Booker. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Herbert H. Buckner Jr. and wife Ethel of Siler City; a daughter, Rochelle B. Moon and husband Howard of Snow Camp; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Monday at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home.

HELEN SEYMOUR
Sanford - Helen Floyd Seymour, 87, of Sanford, died Saturday (4/5/03) at her residence.
Funeral was held Monday at First Presbyterian Church by Dr. Carl Rush and the Rev. Rick Martindale. Burial followed in Buffalo Cemetery.
She was a graduate of Lumberton High School and Women's College in Greensboro. She moved to Sanford in 1936 and taught at McIver School until her marriage. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she received an honorary life membership in 1975.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Seymour Sr.
Surviving are a son, W.W. Seymour Jr. of Sanford; daughters, Helen S. Burns of Charlotte, Jane S. LaRue of Sanford, a grandchild, a great-grandchild, five nephews and two nieces.

RUDOLFO CALDERON JR.
SILER CITY - Rudolfo Martinez Calderon Jr., 9, of 582 Flint Ridge Road, died Saturday (4/5/03) in Siler City.
He was a native of Guilford County and was a third grade student at Silk Hope Elementary School.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home by the Rev. Ken Simpson. Burial will be in the Clontz Cemetery in Linwood.
He is survived by his father, Rudolfo Martinez Calderon Sr. of Greensboro; mother, Wendy Wyatt Calderon of Texas; brothers, Travis Cole Garretson, Stephen Christopher Bristow Jr., and Eric Douglas Bristow, all of Siler City; a sister, Erica Roxanne Calderon of Siler City; grandparents, Miguel Calderon Zarate and Antonia Martinez Juarez, both of Mexico, Barbara Jenkins Wyatt of Greensboro and William Lacy Wyatt Jr. of Tyro; and an aunt and uncle.
The family received friends Monday at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home and will receive friends at other times at the home of Chris and Jo Anne Bristow, 582 Flint Ridge Road.
EARL MOORE
CARTHAGE - Earl Morgan Moore, 78, of 350 Bingham St., died Sunday (4/6/03) at home.
A native of Marion County, S.C., he was a son of the late Robert Seaborn and Annie Atkinson Moore. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he later served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Carthage Lodge 181 A.F. & A.M., Chapter 154, Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion.
A former owner of the Carthage Western Auto Store, he was a salesman for Bill Smith Ford, Lincoln, Mercury in Southern Pines and during the past several years, he worked with Moore Appliance in Aberdeen.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Katherine Sue Moore and Margaret M. Rogers, and brothers, Robert S. Moore and Woodrow W. Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. David Coffey. Burial, with military honors, will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Prescott Moore; daughters, Susan Jackson and husband Keith of Apex and Sheree Kelly and husband Mike of Carthage; sons, David Moore and wife Martha of North Augusta, S.C., Bill M. Moore of Pinehurst, Michael Moore and wife Joleen of Ellerbe and Stephen P. and wife Jeanette Moore of Aberdeen; brothers, J. A. Moore of Fork, S.C. and Don A. Moore of Wilmington; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 350 Bingham St.
