A traditional service will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Watson Mortuary. Burial will follow in Minter Cemetery.
Surviving is a son, Christopher McNeil.
The family will receive friends at 3504 June Road, Sanford.

LOYD CLARK
SANFORD - Loyd Black Clark, 81, of 1115 Carthage St., died Wednesday (8/11/04) at Central Carolina Hospital.
Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Clinton Clark and Harriet Darroch Clark. He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel A. Clark.
Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Cypress Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cameron.
Surviving are a brother, James Clinton Clark of Fairmont, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Graveside service for Ethel Venitia Jordan, 97, who died Saturday (8/7/04), was held Wednesday at the Salem Presbyterian Church cemetery by the Rev. Thomas O'Leary.
Taped music was played.

SANFORD - Funeral for Charles E. Jenkins, 51, of 551 Peach Orchard Road, who died Thursday (8/5/04), was held Wednesday at True Apostolic Deliverance Center in Sanford by Apostle Samuel Thomas. Burial followed in Minter Cemetery.
The choir sang. Soloist was Sister Foxx. Thomas gave the eulogy.
Floralbearers were friends of the family.
Pallbearers were friends of the family.

JANE OLDHAM
CARBONTON - Jane Martindale Oldham, 85, of Carbonton, died Tuesday (8/10/04) at Central Carolina Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Carbonton United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born in Lee County, Mrs. Oldham was the daughter of the late John W. and Jessie Franklin Oldham Martindale. She was a homemaker and member of Carbonton United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Talmadge "Tom" Oldham; a daughter, Sue Marshburn of Carbonton; a sister, Gladys Oldham of Sanford; grandchildren, Sonya Gilliland and husband Allen of Antioch and April Craven and husband Nick of Coleridge; and great-grandson, Garret Craven also of Coleridge.

WARREN MCNEILL JR.
SANFORD - Warren McNeill Jr., 75, of 209 Simmons St., died Thursday (12/2/04) at Central Carolina Hospital.
He was a corporal with the U.S. Army for two years. He served in the Korean War, where he earned three Bronze Stars.
He was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church, as well as a Mason and an Elk.
He is survived by his wife Luvenia, sons Warren McNeill III of Sanford and Timmy Pearson of Los Angeles; sister Cleta Howard and husband Willie of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Union Grove United Methodist Church by the Rev. Larry Robinson. Burial will follow in Lee Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Watson Mortuary.
Arrangements are by Watson Mortuary.
ELIZA HOOKER
PITTSBORO - Eliza Jane Hooker, 113, of Laurels of Chatham Nursing Home in Pittsboro, died Thursday (12/2/04).
She was among the oldest citizens in both the state and the nation. Born at the House in the Horseshoe plantation in Moore County May 7, 1891, she was married to the late Thompson Hooker. Three of her children preceded her in death.
In the 1940's and 50's, she ran a boarding house until a fire destroyed it. She put up many black singers who performed in the area during a time when many local hotels didn't accept blacks. She enjoyed singing and telling jokes.
She is survived by her daughter Erma Brownlee of Oxon Hill, Md.; caretaker/granddaughter Sandra Dent and husband Howard of Newburg, Md.; two other granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, 28 great-great grandchildren, 14 great-great-great grandchildren, extended family the Chesneys, and several neices and nephews.
Funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church on Plank Road. Internment will follow at Macedonia A.M.E. Zion Church cemtery.
A funeral procession will depart from the Horton Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

RICHARD CAMPBELL
GARNER - Richard Carl Campbell, 81, died Saturday (12/4/04) at Rex Hospital.
Born in Lee County, he was the oldest of five children born to J. Watson and Victoria W. Campbell. He joined the Army after high school and served during World War II as an assistant platoon sergeant of the infantry rifle platoon during four combat campaigns in Italy, France and Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
After being discharged, he married Virginia Cole of Sanford. They were married 52 years until her death in 1998.
He retired from the News and Observer Publishing Company in 1988 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Garner United Methodist Church.
He is survived by daughters Carleen Massey and husband Johnny of Garner and Jana Avery and husband Trent of Charlotte, sister Dorothy Thomas of Broadway, brother Lynn Campbell of Sanford, and several grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by by brothers Robert and Charles.
Funeral will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Garner United Methodist Church. Internment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to Garner United Methodist Church, P.O. Box, 2179, Garner, N.C., 27529.

THOMAS J. WOMBLE
LILLINGTON - Funeral for Thomas "Tommy" J. Womble, 68, of Lillington, who died Tuesday (12/4/04), was held Saturday at Spring Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Keith Miller and the Rev. David Yarborough.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Organist was Norma Hamilton. Pianist was Johnny Holder, and vocalists were Mary Lib Lassiter, Georgia Lee Patterson, and Norma Hamilton.
Pallbearers were Daniel Nipper, Aaron Priest, Brian Holder, Daniel Stallings, Charles Stallings, Daniel Barbour.
