VASS - Ann Louise Eddy, 72, of 346 J. Burns Road, died Saturday (1/31/04) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
There will be a viewing from noon to 8 p.m. today at Knotts Funeral Home in Sanford.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Eddy of Vass; sons, Vernon Eddy Jr. of Atlanta and Barrette Eddy of New York; a daughter, Katrina Eddy of New York; brothers, Robert and Richard Moses of Brunswick, Ga.; sisters, Margie Dyal and Mary Walker, both of Brunswick, Ga.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

HAZEL LANCHONEY
PITTSBORO - Hazel Lamon Lanchoney, 82, of Creekside Apts., died Sunday (2/1/04) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., she was a daughter of William and Hazel Mae Wescott Lamon. She was employed as a quality control inspector for Univis Lens Manufacturing prior to retirement. She moved to the Pittsboro area from Florida more than 25 years ago. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herbert, Robert, Edward and George; and sisters, Betty Barton and Eleanor Ferrell.
Service will be conducted by the Rev. Robert B. Way Jr. and Rev. Ray Gooch at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Pat Belskie and husband Joe of Aberdeen; sisters, Grace Hill of Franklin, Ethel Eubanks of California and Laura Veroline of Murphy; brothers, Bill Lamon of Cape May, N.J., Walter Lamon of Florida, Jim Lamon of Vista, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Griffin Funeral Service.

CLARENCE NALL
SANFORD - Funeral for Clarence Nall, 74, of 2912 Currituck Drive, who died Saturday (1/31/04), was held Monday at Emmanuel Baptist Church by the Rev. Eugene Ussery. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Pianist was Barbara Ussery. The church choir sang. Soloists were Justin Matthews and Jenny Thomas.
Pallbearers were Randy Nall Jr., Larry Nall, Warren Nall, Chuck Nunnery, Stevie Nall and Jack Tillman.

JANICE DRURY
SANFORD - Memorial services for Janice Kay Allen Drury, 67, of Sanford, who died Saturday (1/31/04), were held Monday in the Rogers Memorial Chapel by Dr. Carl Frazer.
During the service the congregation sang. Organist was Eugenia Thompson.

SANFORD - Julius Caesar Martin, 46, of 2631 Fayetteville St., died Sunday (2/1/04) at Central Carolina Hospital.

JAMES MASHBURN
SANFORD - James "Burt" Lee Mashburn, 52, of Sanford, died Saturday (1/31/04) at Central Carolina Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m today at Miller-Boles Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Steve Simpson. Burial will follow in Lee Memory Gardens.
He was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church. He retired from Alltel, was a member of the Lee County Civitan Club and a member of the weekly Men's Prayer Breakfast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Elizabeth Stone and Charles Willis Mashburn Sr., and a brother, Tommy Lee Mashburn.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Mashburn of Sanford; a son, Tommy Mashburn and wife Christa of Sanford; a daughter, April Mashburn of Sanford; a brother, Charles Willis Mashburn Jr. and wife Martha of Cameron; sisters, Marie Valentine and Ann Nance and husband John, all of Sanford; granchild, Caleb Walter Mashburn of Sanford; brothers-in-law, Wayne King and wife Teresa, and Richard King, all of Sanford; three nieces and three nephews.
The family will receive friends at the home.

SANFORD - Sarah Margaret McMillian Harris, 83, of Sanford, died Friday (4/2/04) at Central Carolina Hospital.
A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry McMillian and Ellen Ethelean Johnson McMillian. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Grady Harris. She was a member of Cypress Presbyterian Church.
Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Cypress Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Richard Rodda. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include daughters, Shelby Harris of Cameron and Edith deSouza and husband Patrick of Brookville, Ohio; a son, Dennis Harris of Cameron; a sister, Kay Livingston of Goldsboro; and a granddaughter.

RUBY ELLIS
SANFORD - Ruby "Rose" Bradsher Ellis, 63, of 121 Oak Branch Lane, died Friday (4/2/04) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
She was a native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Albert B. Bradsher and Ruby Virginia West Bradsher. She was the owner and operator of Rosebud Cleaning Service.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Buddy Lee Ellis of Sanford; daughters, Connie Ellis Ross and husband Steve of Montana and Crystal Gail Eagle and husband Paul of Sanford; brothers, Samuel West Bradsher of Raleigh and Lee Sullivan of Robbins; sisters, Ann Dixon and Mary B. Chappell, both of Creedmoor, and Betsy B. Aromando of Goldsboro; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Family and friends will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at The Oaks Clubhouse. The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

JEFFREY BLUE
CARTHAGE - Jeffrey C. Blue, 42, of Carthage, died Friday (4/02/04) at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst after a nine-month battle with cancer.
A native of Moore County, he was a son of Allie Lee Garrison Blue and the late Harold A. "Dink" Blue. He was a member of Culdee Presbyterian Church, an avid sports fan and loved the game of golf. He was a salesman for Label Printing Systems in Winston-Salem.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Culdee Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Chris Bobo and the Rev. Michael Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Allie G. Blue of Carthage; sisters, Linda B. Whitesell and husband Fred of Carthage and Kaye B. Davis and husband Larry of Augusta, Ga.; and a brother, Jerry Blue and wife Gale of Winston-Salem.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Fry & Pickett Funeral Home and after the services on Monday in the Culdee Presbyterian Church fellowship hall.

SANFORD - Addie Delois Edwards, of 805 McIntosh St., died Thursday (4/01/04) at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Mt. Nebo Free Will Baptist Church. She retired from Eaton Corp. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lewis and Ernestine Jackson Lewis; husband Austin O. Edwards; and son James Odis Lewis.
Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with Elder J.H. Fairley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors are a son, Clarence Lewis and wife Betty of Sanford; daughters, Gloria Austinea Palmer and husband Andrew of Taunton, Mass., and Carolyn Jean Edwards of New York City; sister, Ruth Harrington of Sanford; daughter-in-law, Earlaine Lewis of Sanford; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

SANFORD - Mary Fox Watson, 83, of 3412 North Ridge Drive, died Thursday (4/01/04) at Central Carolina Hospital.

Survivors are a daughter, Sandra Watson of Sanford; sons, Clarence Watson of Philadelphia, Pa., and Alvis Watson of Queens, N.Y.; sisters, Margaret Tomilson and husband James, and Lillie Mae Foxx, all of Lemon Springs, and Isabelle Lewis of Connecticut; brothers, Wilfert Foxx and Grady Foxx, both of Sanford; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
