CHARLOTTE - Eula Mae Falls Craft, of 10528 Moore’s Chapel Road, died July 29, 2003. A graveside service was held today at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. today at Garden Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.
Born in Spartanburg County, SC she was employed by Vision Hosiery as a seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, William B. Craft of the home; one daughter, Anita Stafford of Concord; one brother, James Falls of Dallas and two grandchildren.

George Russell
George William Russell, 62, of 129 Abernathy St., died July 30, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Ebony & White’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service in the chapel.
Born in Alamance County, he was retired from Southfork Industries and attended Archie Grove United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Cobb Russell of the home; two daughters, Lesia Neal Rivers of Burlington and Katrina Russell of Lincolnton; three brothers, Ralph Russell of Lincolnton, Howard Russell of Morrisville and Harold Russell Jr. of Gibonsville; one sister, Josephine Shaw of Burlington and four grandchildren, Krystal Neal, Nicholas Neal, Summer Rivers and Caleb Russell.
Alvin Cook
VALE - Alvin Jessie Cook, 81, of 4267 Wise Road, died July 31, 2003. Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 tonight at Stamey Funeral Home.
Born in Catawba County, he was retired from North Hickory Furniture Company and was a former deacon at Zion Hill Baptist Church, trustee and member of the brotherhood.
Survivors include two sons, Cecil Cook and Ralph Cook both of Vale; one daughter, Linda Bryson of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Joan Sigmon of Burnesville, Lucille Wagner of Conover and Alta Sailors of Statesville; six grandchildren, Greg Cook, Scottie Cook, Paula Moss, Wesley Cook, Lee Dixon and Whitney Cook and three great-grandchildren.

STANLEY - Lois A. Benfield, 68, of 1205 Mariposa Road, died July 31, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday immediately preceding the service at the funeral home.
Born in Gaston County, she was retired from the textile profession and a homemaker. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Benfield Jr.; two daughters, Vickie B. Hoffman of Gastonia and Wanda Boggs of Alexis; three sons, Ronnie Abernathy of Blacksburg, SC, Ricky Benfield of Mt. Holly and Brian Benfield of Belmont; one brother, Jimmy Abernathy of Cherryville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Born in Gaston County, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, former minister and house mover.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Cook Willis of the home; two sons, Bobby Willis Jr. and Johnny Willis both of Cherryville; two daughters, Rita Lovelace of Cherryville and Sheila Willis of Gastonia; two sisters, Frances Page of Cherryville and Eva Patterson of Kings Mountain; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
