Born in Lincoln County, she had worked as a receptionist at Reeves Gamble Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters Rebekah Mithcum of Mt. Holly and Doris Self of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Elizabeth McFee and Lori Luckey, both of Mt Holly, and Paula Chapman of Mooresville; and three great-grandchildren.

MOORESBORO — Jeanette Thompson Gentry, 68, of 437 Gannts Grove Road, died Sept. 13, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Maple Springs Baptist Church. CINCINNATI, Ohio — Carrie Lue Thomas White Farley, 105, of 1327 Riviera Place, died Sept. 12, 2002. A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at New Sardis Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Vine Street Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Born in Juliette, Ga., she was a retired homemaker and was a member of Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Lincolnton, N.C. before moving to Cincinnati where she joined Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church. She was Mother of the Church.
Survivors include a daughter Johnnie Ruth Webb of Cincinnati; two step-daughters, Lucy Walker and Fannie Hill, both of Cincinnati; 30 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, and forty-five great-great-grandchildren.

PINEVILLE — Reginald H. “Reggie” Perkins, died Sept. 11, 2002. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pineville Church of the Nazarene.
Born in Newton, he grew up in Denver.
Survivors include his wife Rebecca Perkins, four sons, Richard Perkins, Nicholas, Perkins, Christopher Perkins and Matthew Perkins; two sisters Barbara Gabriel of Sherrills Ford and Brenda Douthit of Denver; and five grandchildren.

LEXINGTON — Florice Sides Allred, 94, of Lexington Health Care and formerly of Asheboro, died Sept. 15, 2002. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Born in Walker County, Ala., she was a retired public school teacher and a member of Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church in Asheboro where she served as a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include two sons, Paul E. (Eddie) Allred, Jr. of Lexington and Rev. C. Robert (Bob) Allred of Atlanta; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
