Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in Antioch Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
She was born in Gaston County.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

CHERRYVILLE — Emmett Holt Houser, Sr., 90, of 111 Harrilson Road, died Jan. 18, 2004. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from Wednesday following the service at the church.
Born in Gaston County, he was a retired bank teller from Cherryville National Bank, and a member of the American Legion Post 100.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Wilson Houser of Cherryville; one son, Emmett Houser Jr. of Apache Junction, Ariz.; one sister, Becky Doggett of Cherryville and one grandson, Rev. Timothy Martin of Hickory.

Born in Buncombe County, he was the retired owner and operator of Rice & Sons Garage and a member of Mountain View Agape Church.

Born in Catawba County, he was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and a retired brick mason.

Born in Lincoln County, he was a retired pulpwood operator.
Survivors include one daughter, Joanie Towery of South Carolina; two brothers, Esper Towery of Cherryville and Marion Towery Jr. of Lincolnton and one sister, Ola Lovelace of Cherryville.

He was retired from the Lincoln County School System, an employee at the Springs Road Flea Market, U.S. Marine veteran, a member of the VFW and he was of the Baptist faith.
