Fannie Mae Revelle
ROANOKE RAPIDS - Fannie Mae Edwards Revelle, 95, of 1407 Circle Drive, died Feb. 25, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Askew Funeral Services Chapel in Roanoke Rapids. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at the funeral home.
She was born in Murfreesboro.
Survivors include two daughters, Edith R. Canipe of Lincolnton, and Geraldine R. Bridgeman of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Lester Canipe, Marc Canipe, Pamela Bridgeman Edwards, and Kimberly Bridgeman Seilkap; and six great-grandchildren.

Mansfield Porter
SHELBY - Mandfield Sonny Porter, 71, of 1219 Masonic Drive, died Feb. 25, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Walls Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
He was born in Fluranna County, Va.

Truman Smith
CHERRYVILLE - Truman Grady Smith, 81, of 401 West Academy Street, died Feb. 25, 2002. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a U.S. Army Air Corps WWII veteran, a farmer and a shop foreman for Lowe’s Hardware until retirement. He was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Waco Fire Department where he served as former chief.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Smith of Shelby; one daughter, Wanda Gibson of Waco; four grandchildren, Wayne Smith, Greg Gibson, Doug Smith, and Kim McSwain; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2622 New Prospect Church Rd., Shelby, N.C. 28150.

Delsie Byrd
MOCKSVILLE - Delsie D. Byrd, 97 of Autumn Care, formerly of 596 Victory Grove Church Road, died Feb. 25, 2002. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Salem Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
She was born in Swain County.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Parks of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Alvin Byrd of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Ed Byrd of Asheboro; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Rickie Hudson
STANLEY - Rickie Alfred Hudson, 45, of 810 East Chestnut Street, died Feb. 25, 2002. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Gainsville Baptist Church.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Maryann Redder Hudson; his mother, Jesse Caldwell Hendrick of Cherryville; three sisters, Debra Greene of Cherryville, Revonda Beach of Mt. Holly and Sherry Withers of Lincolnton; and three brothers, Danny Hudson, and Keith Hudson, both of Cherryville and Timothy Hudson of Lincolnton.
Memorials may be made to Gainsville Baptist Church, 270 Gainsville Church Rd., Lincolnton, N.C. 28092; or to Bess Chapel United Methodist Church, Bess Chapel Rd., Cherryville, N.C. 28021.

SHELBY - Beatrice Euleen Borders Eaves, 77, of White Oak Manor, died Feb. 26, 2002.

Jerry Egeland
VALE - Jerry Wayne Egeland, 25, of 5920 Reepsville Road, died Feb. 24, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Daniels Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7 until 8:30 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Born in Miami, Fla., he served in the U.S. Navy and was attending Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Fla. He was employed with Nationwide Insurance.
Survivors include his parents, Rhonda and Ted Egeland of Vale; one brother, Errick B. Egeland of Gainseville, Fla., and his maternal grandmother, Doris Richard of Vale.

Linda Hildebran
HICKORY - Linda Raye Leonhardt Hildebran, 53, of Costner Road, died Jan. 31, 2003. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hickory Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she was a member. Interment followed in the Bingham Evangelical Methodist Church Cemetery.
Born in Cleveland County, she was employed at the Honest T’ Goodness Vegetarian Restaurant for 24 years and was presently employed as a nanny. At her church, she was a deaconess, former community service director, and assisted with Children’s Sabbath School classes and Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include her husband Harold Wayne Hildebran; two daughters, Natasha Perez of the home and Charlinda Price of Connelly Springs; her mother, Betty Lipps Leonhardt of Vale; four brothers, Roger Leonhardt, Keith Leonhardt, David Leonhardt and Jonathan Leonhardt, all of Vale; two sisters, Gail Morrison of Vale and Deborah Gantt of Casar; and two grandchildren, Sean Alan Hildebran and Somer Jean Price.
Memorials may be made to the William H. Johnson Church School, 172 23rd St., Hickory, N.C. 28601 or Hospice of Burke County, PO Box 1029, Valdese, N.C. 28690.

Reba Smith
WINSTON-SALEM - Reba Dew McNeil Smith, 81, died Feb. 1, 2003. A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. today in the Forrest Feezor Auditorium at Brookridge Retirement Community. The family will receive friends following the service.
Born in Wilkesboro, she was a high school home economics, biology and chemistry teacher for 33 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Adrienne Kendall of Louisville, Ky.; a son, Mendall Smith of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Heidi Kendall-Sage, Dutch Kendall, Brantley Smith, Zachary Smith, and Jeremy Smith; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Hendrix of Murphy; and two brothers, Hoke McNeil and Hoyle McNeil, both of Wilkesboro.

Paul Livingston
Paul Ellsworth Livingston, 76, of 1089 Haywood Court, died Feb. 1, 2003. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Evangelical Congregation Church in Westborough, Mass. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at Rand and Harper Funeral Home in Westborough.
Born in North Attleboro, Mass., he was a retired salesman for the trucking industry.
Survivors include his wife, Jean D. Livingston; a son, Eric Alan Livingston of Boca Raton, Fla.; five daughters, Jan Livingston of California, Kim L. Andrews of Massachusetts, Diane Daly of Ocean Ridge, Fla., Gail Baldini of Folsom, Foster of Charlotte, Evelyn Holland of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Verna Osbourne of Chase City, Md.; forty grandchildren; sixty-five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret Avery
Margaret Lemmond Avery, 79, of Lincoln Nursing Center, formerly of 4541 Crouse Road, died Feb. 1, 2003. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Crouse United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Avery and Harry Avery, both of Crouse, and Ken Avery of Gastonia; a daughter, Sharon Sigmon of Crouse; four brothers, Raymond Lemmond of Catawba, William Lemmond, Steve Lemmond, and A.J. Lemmond Jr., all of Lincolnton; four sisters, Minnie McConnell of Lincolnton, Ruth Rash of Denver, Ruby McCaslin and Mary McCaslin, both of Maiden; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MAIDEN - Percy Lee Hendrick, 82, of Ivey’s Church Road, died Feb. 2, 2003. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Burke Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Lincoln County, he was formerly employed in the textile industry.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Hendrick of Vale; two daughters, Judy Murphy of Maiden and Geraldine Whaley of Lincolnton; two sisters, Leah Mason of Lincolnton and Eva Puglisi of Springfield Va.; two half-sisters, Pauline Drum and Mary Lou Freeman, both of Maiden; two half-brothers, James Hendrick of Vale and Harvey Ledbetter of Lincolnton; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
