ROANOKE RAPIDS - Fannie Mae Edwards Revelle, 95, of 1407 Circle Drive, died Feb. 25, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Askew Funeral Services Chapel in Roanoke Rapids. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at the funeral home.
She was born in Murfreesboro.
Survivors include two daughters, Edith R. Canipe of Lincolnton, and Geraldine R. Bridgeman of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Lester Canipe, Marc Canipe, Pamela Bridgeman Edwards, and Kimberly Bridgeman Seilkap; and six great-grandchildren.

SHELBY - Mandfield Sonny Porter, 71, of 1219 Masonic Drive, died Feb. 25, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Walls Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
He was born in Fluranna County, Va.

Truman Smith
CHERRYVILLE - Truman Grady Smith, 81, of 401 West Academy Street, died Feb. 25, 2002. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a U.S. Army Air Corps WWII veteran, a farmer and a shop foreman for Lowe’s Hardware until retirement. He was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Waco Fire Department where he served as former chief.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Smith of Shelby; one daughter, Wanda Gibson of Waco; four grandchildren, Wayne Smith, Greg Gibson, Doug Smith, and Kim McSwain; and seven great-grandchildren.

Delsie Byrd
MOCKSVILLE - Delsie D. Byrd, 97 of Autumn Care, formerly of 596 Victory Grove Church Road, died Feb. 25, 2002. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Salem Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
She was born in Swain County.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Parks of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Alvin Byrd of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Ed Byrd of Asheboro; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

STANLEY - Rickie Alfred Hudson, 45, of 810 East Chestnut Street, died Feb. 25, 2002. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Gainsville Baptist Church.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Maryann Redder Hudson; his mother, Jesse Caldwell Hendrick of Cherryville; three sisters, Debra Greene of Cherryville, Revonda Beach of Mt. Holly and Sherry Withers of Lincolnton; and three brothers, Danny Hudson, and Keith Hudson, both of Cherryville and Timothy Hudson of Lincolnton.

Born in Miami, Fla., he served in the U.S. Navy and was attending Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Fla. He was employed with Nationwide Insurance.
Survivors include his parents, Rhonda and Ted Egeland of Vale; one brother, Errick B. Egeland of Gainseville, Fla., and his maternal grandmother, Doris Richard of Vale.
Linda Hildebran
HICKORY - Linda Raye Leonhardt Hildebran, 53, of Costner Road, died Jan. 31, 2003. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hickory Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she was a member. Interment followed in the Bingham Evangelical Methodist Church Cemetery.
Born in Cleveland County, she was employed at the Honest T’ Goodness Vegetarian Restaurant for 24 years and was presently employed as a nanny. At her church, she was a deaconess, former community service director, and assisted with Children’s Sabbath School classes and Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include her husband Harold Wayne Hildebran; two daughters, Natasha Perez of the home and Charlinda Price of Connelly Springs; her mother, Betty Lipps Leonhardt of Vale; four brothers, Roger Leonhardt, Keith Leonhardt, David Leonhardt and Jonathan Leonhardt, all of Vale; two sisters, Gail Morrison of Vale and Deborah Gantt of Casar; and two grandchildren, Sean Alan Hildebran and Somer Jean Price.

Born in Wilkesboro, she was a high school home economics, biology and chemistry teacher for 33 years.
