DENVER - Grady Clifton Long, 79, of 1211 Rufus Road, died Feb. 21, 2003. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Salem United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Lakeshore Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, he was a retired truck driver in the power production division of Duke Power Company, a U.S. Army WWII veteran, and was retired from the East Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine M. Long; a son, Roddi Long of Denver; a daughter, Diane Goers of Mint Hill; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Brinda Elmore Worcester; four sons, James Charles Worcester of Sawmills, Ronald Lee Worcester and Jeffrey Scott Worcester, both of Granite Falls, and Chuck Worcester Jr. of Gastonia; a daughter, Debra Singletary of Douglasville, Ga.; five brothers, Clifford Worcester and Robert Worcester, both of Bangor, Maine, Edward Worcester of Levant, Maine, James Worcester of Lewiston, Maine, and Wayne Worcester of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Jenny Thomas and Cathy Wyles, both of Homestead, Fla., and Sylvia Bouchard of Orrington, Maine; and nine grandchildren.
