Born in Gaston County, she was a retired Roseland Textiles spinner.
Survivors include her daughter Marie M. Black of Cherryville; seven grandchildren Danny Griffith, David Griffith, Eric Griffith, and Stacy Griffith, all of Lincolnton and Luke Griffith Jr., Teresa Griffith, and Junior Black, all of Cherryville; and five great-grandchildren.

LOWSEVILLE - Patsy Lee Sifford, died April 23, 2003. Funeral services were today at 11 a.m. at Hills Chapel United Methodist Church.
Born in Lincoln County, she was a guidance counselor at Myers Park High School, and a volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital.
Survivors include her brothers, R.C. Sifford of Lowesville, and John Sifford of Charlotte; two sisters, Jessie Gouger of Chapel Hill, and Elizabeth Rotan of Belmont.

RIDGELAND, S.C. - Bonnie Mae Poovey Crouse, 76, formerly of Lincolnton, died April 28 2002. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ridgeland Church of God of Prophecy where she attended. Burial will follow in Ridgeland Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, she was a member of the Living Word Pentecostal Holiness Church in Maiden, and worked as a clothing manufacturer and seamstress until retirement.
Survivors include her husband, Gaither Lee Crouse; one son, Fred David Crouse of Ridgeland, S.C.; four daughters, Glenda Smith of Maiden, Rebecca Kilby of Beaufort, S.C., Nettie Gibson of Ridgeland, S.C., and Wanda Deal of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother, Walter Poovey of Okatie, S.C.; one sister, Margaret Blanton of Lincolnton; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
