Jimmy Edward Greer, 72, of 588 Union Grove Church Rd., Hurdle Mills, died Friday, September 4, 2015. Born in Pike County, KY, Mr. Greer was the son of the late Samuel Edgar and Arizona Branham Greer. Mr. Greer retired from Qualex and was a member of Clement Baptist Church where he served as Assistant Sunday School Director. Mr. Greer was a member of the Gideon's International and he was a US Air Force Veteran. Mr. Greer was the Greatest Grandpa in the World.
Mr. Greer is survived by his wife, Vicki J. Greer; two sons, Scott Greer and wife Melissa, of Wilmington and Jimmy E. Greer, Jr., of Hurdle Mills; two sisters, Jean Kemp, of Semora and Joann Davis, of Cape Coral, FL; three grandchildren, Paige Greer, Meredith Greer and Nathan Greer.
Memorial services will be held 5 PM Sunday, September 13, 2015, at Clement Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Bowes. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.

Larry Dwight "Fuzzy" Shull, Sr., 67, of 1606 N. Main St., Roxboro, died Sunday, July 19, 2015. Born in Person County, Mr. Shull was the son of the late Pearly Marvin Shull, Sr. and Erma Ruth Mundy-Carver. Mr. Shull was the owner of Larry's Autosales. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Shull, Joan S. Weaver and Linda S. Parker.
Mr. Shull is survived by his partner, Lucia Strickland; two children, Larry Shull, Jr., of Roxboro and Kimberly Shull Hurley, of Clayton; two brothers, Pearly Marvin Shull, Jr. and fiance Phyllis Lindley, of Roxboro and Howard Eastwood and wife Donna, of Roxboro; one sister, Sandra Mangum, of Roxboro; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Pastor Mike Whitt. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-7:30 PM Monday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be James (Jughead) Milam, Bobby Shull, Jr., Joe Weaver, Michael Eastwood, Clint Eastwood, Steven Myers, Colton Myers, and John King.

Valeria Blalock Marshall

Valeria Blalock Marshall, 84, of Pleasant Garden and formerly of Timberlake, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Born in Durham County, Mrs. Marshall was the daughter of the late John Thomas Blalock, Sr. and Annie Tilley Blalock and wife of the late Ernest L. Marshall. Mrs. Marshall retired from John Umpstead Hospital and was a member of Rougemont United Methodist Church. She loved cooking and serving others. She was preceded in death by her children, Ricky Marshall and JoAnn Marshall Jones, two brothers, Thomas Blalock, Jr. and Charlie Blalock, and her grandson, Matthew Jones.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan Marshall, of Pleasant Garden; her step-son, Larry Marshall, of Roxboro; two brothers, David Blalock and Bill Blalock, both of Timberlake; two sisters, Lucille Pulliam, of Timberlake and Cora Lee Blalock Carver, of Roxboro; three grandchildren, Chris Jones, Allison Lyerly (Craig), and Kaytie Marshall; one great-grandchild, Ryder Jones.
Visitation will be held 10-11AM Friday, at the Brooks & White Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, July 24, 2015, at Person Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. Herbert Brown.
Pallbearers will be Barry Blalock, Tony Blalock, Jerry Blalock, Mike Blalock, Kevin Blalock, Kenneth Wolfe, and Troy Blalock.

Lois Pearl Coleman Stewart

Lois Pearl Coleman Stewart, 94, of Chesterfield, VA died Wednesday, September 9, 2015. She was born in Person County to the late James and Nettie Tally Coleman, was also preceded in death by her husband, Numond Stewart. She was a member of Longhurst United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker and a member of the Sappony Tribe.
Surviving are six children, Sylvia Arnold, of Henrico, VA, Lynwood Stewart and wife Cheryl, of Coatsville, PA, Richard Stewart and wife Lee, of Pittsboro, NC, Cheryl Walker, of Chester, VA, Glenna Cullen and husband John, of Springfield, PA, and Gail Gold and husband Harold, of North Chesterfield, VA; two brothers, James Coleman, of Hopewell, VA and Phillip Coleman and wife Linda, of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Ann Going, of Henrico, VA and Nettie Talley and husband Luther, of Roxboro, NC; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church by Rev. Norman Talley and Rev. Charlie Martin. Burial will follow at Person Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Stewart, Chris Walker, Ronnie Epps, Steven Stewart, Steven Crouch, and Josh Crouch.

Earl William Clayton, 93, of 365 THEE HESTER RD, ROXBORO, died Friday, September 11, 2015. Born in Person County, Mr. Clayton was the son of the late William A. and Semora Harris Clayton and husband of the late Margaret Sue Melton Clayton. Mr. Clayton retired from farming and Collins & Aikman and was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Mr. Clayton served in the US Army during WWII. He loved his Lord and his family very much.
Mr. Clayton is survived by his children, Linda C. Bradsher and husband Ted, Marshall R. "Roane" Clayton and wife Sandy, Denese C. Shepherd and husband Oscar and Cindy A. Clayton, all of Roxboro; one brother, Willie A. Clayton, Jr., of Roxboro; eleven grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, September 14, 2015, at Ephesus Baptist Church by the Rev. Larry Cain. Burial will follow at Lea's Chapel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held 6-7:30 PM Sunday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.

Rhudalph "Skinner" Clayton

Rhudalph "Skinner" Clayton, 85, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at his home. He was born in Person County, NC on February 14, 1930 to the late Christopher Columbus Clayton and Bertha Ashley Clayton. Mr. Clayton was a longtime member of Somerset Baptist Church where he served as a past deacon and usher. Mr. Clayton was a lifetime employee of C & G Supply Center in Roxboro. He was a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Clayton is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Wilkerson Clayton; a daughter Michelle Clayton Day and husband Glenn, of Roxboro; a son, Brent Kendall Clayton, of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Clayton Glenn Day and Mary Grayson Day, of Roxboro; a sister, Catherine Aiken, of Bahama and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 6:30-8 PM Sunday, September 13, 2015, at Somerset Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, September 14, 2015 at Somerset Baptist Church by the Rev. Tom Gerhart and the Rev. Troy Rust. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews Mike Clayton, Anthony Clayton, Mark Clayton, Bernard Day, Jerry Aiken, Don Aiken, Cecil Clayton, Everette Clayton, Leon Clayton and Mervyn Day.
