Ralph Sanford Whitfield, age 80, of 6916 Bill Poole Road, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his home. He is the son of the late Kelly Pink Whitfield and Nannie Mae Gentry. Mr. Whitfield retired from AA Appliance Company where he was the owner and operator.
Surviving is his wife, Juanita McCullough Whitfield, of the home; one son: Randall Whitfield, of Charlotte, NC; two daughters: Alison W. Grindstaff, of Graham, and Andrea W. Smith, of Raleigh, NC; two brothers: Kelly P. Whitfield, of Burlington, and Otis Whitfield, of Timberlake; two sisters: Clara W. Sales, of Graham, and Marie W. Melton, of Roxboro; three grandchildren: Sam Grindstaff, Michael Whitfield, and Gwendolyn Smith.
Visitation will be 6:30-8:00 PM Monday, May 18, 2015 at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Graveside rites will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Wheeler's Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Craig Willingham.

Mrs. Noma Lee Barrett Whitt

Died: 05/09/2015 and resided in Roxboro, North Carolina
Noma Lee Barrett Whitt age 85 died Saturday afternoon at the Roxboro Healthcare and Rehab Center. She was born in Person County. Mrs. Whitt was daughter of the late Claude (Buck) Barrett and Jenna Lee Barrett. Preceding Noma in death are her husband Flem O. Whitt.Jr. and her sister, Sue Kostecki. Mrs. Whitt was a member of Brooksdale United Methodist Church now New Brook United Methodist Church. She was employed by Clayton Chrysler and Plymouth Automotive for several years then later retired from South Square Motors in Durham.
Surviving are her three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Pam Whitt of Roxboro, Dale and Bridget Whitt of Burlington, and Mark and Allyson Whitt of Wake Forest; four grandchildren, Jan Whitt Parker (Jordan), Adam Whitt (Lynette), Jennifer Whitt Morgan (Nick), and Luke Whitt (Jenny); 5 great grandchildren, Two Brothers, David Barrett of Lynchburg, VA, and Jimmy Barrett of Roanoke, VA; 2 sisters, Celia Burch of Elon College and Eleanor Falls of Waynesboro, VA.
The family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday, April 11, 2015 at the New Brook United Methodist Church.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2015 at the New Brook United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tyler Daniels and Rev. Karl Neuschaefer officiating. Burial will follow in the Burchwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be C. R. Pointer, Chris Williams, Tim O'Briant, Carl Stonbreaker, Russell Rogers, and Kep Paylor.

Tammy Regan Whitt

Tammy Regan Whitt, age 48, of 285 Gentry Dunkley Road, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at Duke Regional Hospital. She was born in Person County, and the daughter of Rassie T. and Jean Mundy Regan who survive. Mrs. Whitt is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fleming & Leonie Mundy. She was the office manager for Regan & Son Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitt is survived by her husband, Doyle Whitt, of the home; two children: Taylor Whitt (Cameron), Dalton Whitt, of the home; beloved pet, Gracy Whitt; mother-in-law, Clara Howell Whitt and late husband, Henry Whitt, Jr., of Rougemont; one brother, Ronald Thomas Regan, Sr. and wife Bonnie, of Roxboro; one brother-in-law, Roger Whitt and wife, Annie, of Rougemont; five nephews: Austin Whitt, Will Whitt, Thomas Whitt, Ronnie Regan & wife Jenna, and Alan Regan; one great-nephew, Ronald "Tripp" Regan III.
Not only was Tammy very faithful to the Lord, she was faithful to her friends and family. She was a dedicated wife and Mama. Tammy left a lasting mark on everyone she met. She was the first in line when someone was in need to lend a helping hand and if you were sick she was your biggest cheerleader.
She will be forever missed by those who love her. Never, will there be another like her. She let her light shine, she was our sunshine.
Visitation will be held 6:30-8:00 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Antioch Baptist Church and other times at the home.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Antioch Baptist Church by Dr. M. David Chambers and the Rev. Barry Chambers. Burial will follow in Allensville Untied Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Austin Whitt, Will Whitt, Thomas Whitt, Ronnie Regan, Alan Regan, Raymond Whitt, Brian Horner, Caleb Rogers and Michael Fuller. Honorary pallbearers will be the Roxboro Fire Department.

Bruce Fields Knott

Bruce Fields Knott, age 71, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at UNC Hospital. He was born on September 26, 1943 to Luther DeWitt Knott and Annie Royster Knott raised in Allensville and moved to Roxboro 51 years ago. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers: Luther "Mac" Knott, Julian "Cecil" Knott, Robert A. Knott, Dolowayne "Don" Knott, Sterlin "Sterl" Knott, Charlie Knott, and sister: Elizabeth Knott Murray. Mr. Knott was the former owner/operator of B&T; Business Machines and was member of Webbs Chapel Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Talley Knott, of 51 years; daughter, Rhonda Knott Miller and husband Blair; son, Trent Knott and wife Robin; grandchildren: Brandon Latta (Angel), Travis Miller, Olivia Knott, and Jacob Knott; three step grandchildren: Brett Wrenn, Kaleb Wrenn, Kyle Wrenn; great-grandchild, Brantley Latta; step great-grandchild, Addison Wrenn. He is also survived by three sisters: Mary K. Gentry (Bernard), Violet K. Whitfield (Marvin), and Sandra K. Eakes; brother, Martin "Bart" Knott.
Visitation will be from 6:00- 7:30 PM Friday, June 26, 2015 at Brooks & White Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Somerset Baptist Church by Pastor Calvin Sacra, Chaplain Steve Jordan, and the Rev. Tom Gearhart. Interment will follow at Person Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Talley, Nathan Talley, Randy Knott, Leland Gentry, John Puryear, Bruce Knott, Kyle Wrenn, and Kevin Eakes.

Flint Nichols Bradsher

Flint Nichols Bradsher, 92, of 2176 Burlington Road, Roxboro, died Saturday, June 13, 2015. He was born in Person County to the late James Raymond Bradsher and Emma Thompson Newman Bradsher. He is preceded in death by his wife, Izola A. Bradsher and four siblings: Raymond Bradsher Jr., Newman Bradsher, Evelyn Pike, and Margaret B. Dixon. Mr. Bradsher retired from C&A; after 35 years, he served in the Army received the Purple Heart Award and three bronze service stars during WWII, and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Leasburg United Methodist Church.
Mr. Bradsher is survived by his three children: Larry Flint Bradsher and wife Betty, of Rougemont, Gary Bradsher and wife Donna, of Thompson's Station, TN, Deborah Ann Bradsher Cultra and husband Danny Cultra, of Roxboro; one brother, Robert Anderson Bradsher, of Roxboro; two sisters: Anna Laura B. Bradsher, of Burlington, and Gertie Rachel Hudgins, of Roxboro; two grandchildren: Melissa Bradsher and husband Jim Bright, and Nicki Bradsher and husband Jeff Bowen; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Brooks & White Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Ray Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in the Leasburg Community Cemetery with military rites provided by the Yanceyville VFW Post 7316.

Walter Clellon Debnam

Walter Clellon Debnam, 85 of Roxboro died Thursday, June 11, 2015. He was born in Nash County, NC and was the son of the late Walter Macon and Ruby Batchelor Debnam. Mr. Debnam was also preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Debnam Jones and Connie Debnam Brown; and one brother, Glenn Debnam. He worked with CP&L; and Progress Energy for 37 years and with Cogentrix for 7 years. He was in the Air Force and served during the Korean War, was a member of the Pioneer Club with CP&L; and a member of Roxboro Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Ida Jeanette Hester Debnam, of the home; four children, Cindy Lunsford and husband Everette, of Wilmington, Vickie Thomas and husband Kim, of Cary, Kenneth Debnam and wife Gloria, of Siler City, and Ricky Debnam, of Roxboro; one brother, Bruce Debnam and wife Alma, of Zebulon; two sisters, Eva Debnam Hocutt, of Zebulon and Faye Debnam Horton and husband Bobby, of Fuquay Varina; six grandchildren, Matthew Lunsford, Christopher Lunsford, Amber Debnam Bond and husband Shane, Andrew Debnam, Caroline Thomas, and Grace Debnam; and one great-granddaughter, Lila Cate Bond.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Roxboro Baptist Church by Rev. Ken Durham. Entombent will follow at Burchwood Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 1:00-2:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Jones, Michael Debnam, Russell Gupton, Hal Debnam, Daryl Brown, and Wayne Floyd.
