Mary Sue Wilson Blalock, 53, of 1220 Julian Oakley Rd., Rougemont, died Thursday, December 13, 2012. Born in Durham County, Mrs. Blalock was the daughter of the late Lester and Betty Walters Wilson and wife of the late James Blalock. Mrs. Blalock worked at the Radison Governor's Inn in Durham for over 30 years.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. John Pritchard. Visitation will be held 6:30-8 PM, Monday, at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blalock is survived by her son, Charles Wilson and Nan James, of Rougemont; four brothers, Lester Wilson, of Wilmington, Donald Wilson, of Raleigh, Jimmy Wilson, of Durham and Fred Burney Wilson, of Missouri; two sisters, Ruth Ann Spence, of Roanoke Rapids and Margie Wilson, of Durham; four grandchildren, Ariel Wilson, Tiffany Wilson, Kristen Day, and Brandon Currin.

Patty Jean Redman Boyette

Patty Jean Redman Boyette 48 of 2529 Rolling Hills Road, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at her home. Born in Surry County daughter of the late Dalmer Redman & the late Mildred Moore Redman. Mrs. Boyette was a homemaker. Patty touched many with her talent, for art her paintings and murals can be found in various galleries and businesses around Roxboro, also Patty's ability to sew enabled her to create her wedding dress, costumes for birthday parties and plays.
She was a member of Roxboro Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband Norman Boyette of the home, two daughters Stephanie Boyette of the home, Jesika Boyette of the home, one brother Eddie Redman & wife Barbara of Lenoir, two sisters Margaret Redman of Pilot Mountain, Indra Hilson & husband John of Macon, Ga.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Roxboro Presbyterian Church by Dr. James "Mickey" Efird.
Graveside Memorial Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Pilot Mountain by the Rev. Alan Branch.
Kay Frances Wilkerson Long

Kay Frances Wilkerson Long 47 of 1130 Charlie Carr Road, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at her home. Born in Florida daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Wilkerson. Mrs. Long worked at the Roxboro Wal-Mart Pharmacy and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband Tommy L. Long of the home, one daughter Caroline Buchanan of Chesterfield, MO., her adoptive parents Dr. Keith Kimball & Docie Kimball of Roxboro, her half brother Alfred Dean Wilkerson of Mebane.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday January 5, 2013 at Micaiah Christian Mission Church by Rev. Sam Patterson & Dr. Keith Kimball.

Ola Sue Whitt Nelson

Ola Sue Whitt Nelson, 81 of 1150 Shelton Road died Saturday, January 5, 2013. Born in Halifax County, VA. daughter of the late Johnny Whitt & Florence Mae Long Whitt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years George Nelson and her son Danny Nelson. Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker & farmer, she was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her son Tony Nelson of the home, one sister Rosa Montague of Milton, five grandchildren Aretha Pleasant, Kimberly Nelson, Kelly Nelson, Brittany Nelson, Christopher Nelson and four great- grandchildren.
Graveside Rites will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Person Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. John Pritchard. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the graveside and other times at the home.
Catherine Scott Gentry

Catherine Scott Gentry, 93, of 211 Ridge Rd., Roxboro, died Sunday, January 13, 2013. Born in Caswell County, Mrs. Gentry was the daughter of the late George L. and Lena Lea Scott and wife of the late Reade Gentry. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Catherine Moorefield, her son-in-law, Richard M. Johnson, and her siblings, George Scott, John Scott, Cornelia Strickland, and Caroline Foote. Mrs. Gentry retired from Wachovia and was a member of Long Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Gentry is survived by three daughters, Connye Moorefield and husband Bill, of Gibsonville, George Woody and husband Skip, of Chapel Hill and Cappye Headman and husband John, of Henderson; her sister-in-law, Jean Scott, of Milton; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Connally United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Upton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM, Tuesday at her home.

Brodie James Cozart

Died: 06/10/2015 and resided in Roxboro, NC
Brodie James Cozart, 78, of 2881 Burlington Rd., died Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Born in Orange County, Mr. Cozart was the son of the late Albert J. and Roxie M. Cozart. Mr. Cozart retired from Curtis Meat Products and was a member of Clement Baptist Church. He served in the National Guard.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Cozart is survived by his wife, Rebecca N. Cozart; his daughter, Allison Cozart Rouse, of Durham; three brothers, Jack Cozart, of Durham, Forrest Cozart and Clarence Cozart, both of Roxboro; his sister, Mildred Thompson, of Roxboro; two grandchildren, James B. Rouse III and Rebecca P. Rouse.
