Bryant Lee Monk 73 of 2863 Morton Pulliam Road, died Monday, November 19, 2012. Born in Caswell County he was son of the late Clarence & Odell Bradsher Monk. Mr. Monk was the former owner & operator of Monk & Clayton Auto, he served in the National Guard and was a member of Old Lea Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Mamie Loftis Monk of the home, two daughters Daphine Gooch & husband Danny of Timberlake, Beverly Crute & husband Mark of Hurdle Mills, one brother Larry Monk of Mebane, four grandchildren Andy Crute, Amanda Crute, Bryant Gooch & Goirita Gooch.
The family will receive friends 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday November 21, 2012 at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday November 23, 2012 at Old Lea Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Allen Bottoms & Pastor Troy Rust. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Andy Crute, B. J. Gooch, Lee Whitt, Brandon Whitt, Ted Bradsher, Fred Bradsher, Blake Ashley & Benji Loftis.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ron Whitt, Bruce Monk & Clint Crute.
Benjamin Adams Wrenn

Benjamin Adams Wrenn, 79, of 525 Allensville Rd., Roxboro, died Thursday, November 22, 2012. Born in Person County, Mr. Wrenn was the son of the late Ralph Ellison and Mary Ann Duncan Wrenn. Mr. Wrenn was a retired welder and a US Navy veteran having served onboard the USS Everglades. He was a member of Roxboro Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers James, Wallace, and Tommy Wrenn and his sisters, Mildred Bowes and Nancy Poindexter.
Mr. Wrenn is survived by his wife, Iris Broach Wrenn; five children and thier spouses, Geena Wrenn Hicks and Richard N. Hicks, of Farmville, Bruce A. Wrenn and Patricia Morton Wrenn, Susan Wrenn-Reed, all of Roxboro, Sammy E. Wrenn and Angie Dickerson Wrenn, of Hurdle Mills and Laura Wrenn Edwards and Jimmy Edwards, of Henderson. He was Papa Ben to eight grandchildren, Katie Hicks Evans, Ben Hicks, Douglas Adams Wrenn, Leigh Anne Wrenn, Beth Barton Powers and husband Robert, Annie Horner, Will Huffaker and Joshua Edwards and four great-grandchildren, Caroline, Rachel Iris and Ward Evans and Aislynn Powers and grandchild of the heart Sommer Woodham.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Alfred Snipes and the Rev. Hal Dickerson. Burial will follow in the Wrenn Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends anytime Saturday at the home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Poindexter, Douglas Wrenn, Ben Hicks, Joshua Edwards, Preston Bowes and Bobby Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Max Riley, Bob Bass, Jim Wilkerson, Charles Watson, Tim Parnell and Glenn Attaway.

Rylan Sauls three month old son of Charlyne Alicia-Mari Taylor Sauls died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola FL. Born on August 14, 2012, he was a loving and special child. He was preceded in death by his sister Skyler JoAnn Sauls.
Surviving in addition to his parents are sister Kameron Sauls of the home, maternal grandparents Tara Ira Turner & Jeremy Turner & James Taylor of Durham, his paternal grandmother Mary Jo Sauls of Goldsboro.
Graveside Rites will be held 2:00 PM Friday November 30, 2012 at The Family Cemetery 6114 Wake Forrest Road, Durham, NC 27703 by the Pastor Nick Cole & Elder Maurice Little. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 Thursday November 29, 2012 at Brooks & White Funeral Home.

Christopher John Armacost Jr.

Christopher John Armacost, Jr. 74 of 316 Victoria Lane, died Monday, November 26, 2012 at his home. Born in Washington, DC son of the late Christopher John Armacost, Sr. & Catherine Armacost, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Joan Gardner. Mr. Armacost was a Dive Master on the Island of Bonaire, he was an avid baseball fan and an avid Nationals' fan. In 2011 he was voted the Durham Bull's biggest fan. He served in the US Air force and was a member of Sts. Mary & Edward Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife Jessica Barger Armacost of the home, three sons Tony Armacost, Mark Armacost & wife Heather of Huntingtown, MD., Matthew Armacost, two step-children Eleanor Valentinjn of Essex, MD., Tobias Hosterman of Boynton Beach, FL., two brothers James Armacost of Alexandra, VA., John Armacost of Kent Island, MD., and eleven grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 30, 2012 at Sts. Mary & Edward Catholic Church by Father William H. Rodriguez. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Pauline Vaughan Frazier

Pauline Vaughan Frazier, 82, of 1040 Peed Rd, Rougemont, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Born in Person County, Mrs. Frazier was the daughter of the late Howard and Sallie Bett Bowling Vaughan and wife of the late Lucious Frazier. Mrs. Frazier retired from Crown Crafts and was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. She loved the mountains, flowers and gardening.
Mrs. Frazier is survived by her children, Barbara Puett and husband Donald, of Timberlake, Lisa Frazier, of the home and Clara Blalock and husband Sammy, of Timberlake; one sister, Nannie Bell Vaughan, of Rougemont; one grandson, Michael Wayne Pulliam, of Timberlake.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday December 1, 2012, at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church by the Rev. Barry Chambers and the Rev. Billy Lynch. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:30-8 PM, Friday, at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Mr. John David Hicks, died December 2, 2012, at Danville Regional Hospital, he was a resident of Jones Family Home 278 Main St. Yanceyville, NC. He was predeceased by his parents Ronald Edmund Hicks and Mary Lee Wade Hicks, he is survived by his sister Mrs. Leesa Jean Hicks McGhee and husband Russell of Chapel Hill There is no services planned at this time.
