Timothy David Oakley "FATBACK", age 43 of 1338 Winstead Farm Road died Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Born in Person County son of the late Charlie David Oakley (Charlie Brown) and Linda Ellis Oakley of Roxboro who survive. Mr. Oakley was a member of Cobb Creek Hunting Club and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters, Tiffany Brady & husband Andrew and Taylor Mattson and husband Michael both of Roxboro ; one sister, Tonya Oakley of Kernersville; one granddaughter Alyssa Brady, his fiancee Brenda P. Bottoms of Roxboro
The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday July 21, 2012 at the Brooks & White Chapel and other times at the home of his Mother 77 Brann Lane Roxboro, NC 27574.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday July 22, 2012 at Lamberth Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery
Pallbearers will be: Chris Gentry, Chris Kendrick, Richard "Taft" Dixon, Chris Oakley, John Ellis III, Wayne Ellis.

Ada Clayton 85 of 588 City lake Road died Tuesday July 17, 2012. Born in Person County daughter of the late Willie Andrew & Emily Harris Clayton, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William T. Clayton and two sons Billy T. Clayton & Larry L. Clayton, one grandson Kevin Owen. Mrs. Clayton was a homemaker, a volunteer for Person County Meals on Wheels and a member of Theresa Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter Leona Clayton Owen & husband Henry of Roxboro, one daughter-in-law Liana Clayton of Portsmouth, Va., three brothers Coy Clayton, Earl Clayton & Willie Clayton all of Roxboro, nine grandchildren & twelve great-grandchildren also survive.
The family will receive friends Thursday July 19, 2012 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Theresa Baptist Church prior to the service and other times at the home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday July 19, 2012 at Theresa Baptist church by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Interment will follow in the Clayton family Cemetery.

Mira Murray Blalock 88 of 312 County Line Road, died Tuesday July 17, 2012. Born in Huntington Indiana daughter of the late Charles Albert & Mabel May Phegley Murray, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Henry Blalock, Jr., two brothers Ralph Murray & John Murray Mrs. Blalock was a Homemaker and a member of Helena United Methodist Church where she was a Choir Member.
Surviving are one son James Henry Blalock, III of Rougemount, two daughters Kathleen B. Whitfield of Roxboro, Beverly B. Hargis & husband Terry of Leasburg, one brother Charles Murray of Ca., four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren & two great-great-grandchildren, also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday July 19, 2012 at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday July 20, 2012 at Helena United Methodist Church by the Rev. Julie Poston. Interment will follow in the Aiken-Blalock Family Cemetery.

David Allen "Fatboy" Long

David Allen Long "Fatboy" age 35 of 140 J.R. Road died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Person Memorial Hospital. He was born in Orange County to Lawrence David Long, Jr., father and Vanessa Bolton Hatcher, mother. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Hilda Stox, his grandfather, Clarence Price Hatcher, Jr. and his great aunt, Esther Jane Long.
Allen was employed by MDT Personnel.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Wanda Reaves Long, his two sons, Cody Allen Long and Damien Douglas Long, his daddy, Larry Wayne Hatcher, his grandmother, Joan Long, his grandfathers, Henry Long and Bart Knott, and his grandmother, Nannie Bet Hatcher; his brother, Calvin Price Hatcher, his sister, Stephanie Long Toone and Ashley Leighann Hatcher all of Roxboro.
The family will receive friends 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Brooks and White Chapel and other times at the home of Larry and Vanessa B. Hatcher, 425 Olive Branch Road.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Brooks & White Chapel with Brother Billy Gentry officiating. Burial will be in the Triple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Loftis, Scott Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, Brandon Arrowood, Jarrett Shotwell, Donnie Loftis, Blake Gentry and Cody Gentry.

James Kenneth Oakley

Died: 09/15/2012 and resided in Timberlake, NC
James Kenneth Oakley age 79 of 11459 Durham Road died Saturday morning, September 15, 2012 at his home. He was born in Person County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Banks Oakley and husband of the late Minnie Magnolia Dunn Oakley. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Oakley was retired from UNC Hospitals.
He is survived by 11 nephews and 5 nieces.
The family will receive friends 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Brooks & White Chapel and other times at his home.
The funeral service will be 11:AM Monday, September 17, 2012 at Brooks and White Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Person Memorial Cemetery.

William Ernest Wrenn

William Ernest Wrenn, 83, of 85 Kelly Carver Rd., Roxboro, died Thursday, September 13, 2012. Born in Person County, Mr. Wrenn was the son of the late Bernice and Maddie Long Wrenn. He was predeceased by a son, Stevie Wrenn, two brothers, Burley Wrenn and Frank Wrenn, two sisters, Willoree Reaves and Sallie Sue Evans. Mr. Wrenn retired from Collins & Aikman and was a member of Theresa Baptist Church where he sang in the choir.
Mr. Wrenn is survived by his life long companion, Connie Mangum, a daughter, Gail Wrenn Denny, of Hillsborough; two brothers, Calvin Wrenn and John Wrenn, both of Roxboro; his sister, Annie Zell Holt, of Roxboro, one grandson, Jay Denny and one great grandson, William John Denny.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Theresa Baptist Church by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Friday, September 14, 2012 at Theresa Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Chris Reaves, Thad Mangum, Keith Wrenn, Ronnie Carver, Phillip Bowes, Carl Wrenn, and Edward Cliborne.
