Donald Ray Clayton, 68, of 98 Herman Oakley Rd., Roxboro, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro. Born in Person County, Mr. Clayton was the son of the late Archie Glen and Hallie Blanche Oakley Clayton. Mr. Clayton was a retired brick mason laborer and of the Primitive Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Faye Clayton Wilborn.
Mr. Clayton is survived by his brothers, Leon Clayton, of Roxboro and Kenneth Glen Clayton, of Timberlake.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday, September 7, 2012, at Stories Creek Primitive Baptist Church by the Elder Bobby Daughtry, Elder Jesse Hudgins, and Elder Paul Clark. Burial will follow in the Carver Family Cemetery. Mr. Clayton will be carried to the home of his brother Leon Clayton on Thursday for family and friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews Daniel Clayton, Blake Wilborn, Wendell Wilborn, Anthony Wilborn, Keith Clayton, Kent Clayton.
Dewey Everette Hutchins Sr.

Died: 09/04/2012 and resided in Roxboro, NC
Dewey Everette Hutchins, Sr., 63, of 606 Doug St., Roxboro, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro. Born in Mecklenburg County, VA, Mr. Hutchins was the son of the late Eli Willard and Maureen Wilbourne Hutchins. Mr. Hutchins was a painter and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Hutchins is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rice Hutchins; three sons, Dewey Everette Hutchins and wife Daphne, of Timberlake, Walter Hutchins and wife Elizabeth and George Hutchins and wife Vanessa, all of Roxboro; two grandchildren, Caleb Hutchins and Addison Hutchins.
Funeral services will be held 11AM, Friday, September 7, 2012, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Dr. M. David Chambers. Burial will follow in Surl Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-7:30 PM, Thursday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home of son at 3059 Flatwoods Rd., Timberlake.
Pallbearers will be Wallace Hutchins, Danny Blume, Daylon Seamons, Ronnie Carver, Jimmy Lewis, Darrell Seamons and Kevin Chambers.
Debra Dillon "Debbie" Shelton

Debra Dillon "Debbie" Shelton 53 of 999 Brooks Dairy Road died suddenly Tuesday September 4, 2012 at her home. Born in Person County daughter of the late Glenn Cleveland Dillon, Jr. & Muriel Crabtree Dillon who survives of Roxboro. Mrs. Shelton was a member of the Cub Scouts for over twenty-five years, she loved to make coffee at Tricia's upon leaving Tricia's she became a Grandma and knew that was her full time calling. She was a member of Old Lea Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of over thirty-three years Ken Shelton of the home. one son Dillon Shelton and wife Deana of Asheville, one daughter Kimberly D. Barker & husband Ben of Semora, two brothers Donnie Dillon & wife Cindy of Roxboro, Doug Dillon & wife Debbie of Roxboro, one sister Darlene Ellis & husband of Mark of Roxboro, one granddaughter Adalee Barker and one grandchild on the way, several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends any time at the home. Graveside Rites will be held 2:00 PM Thursday September 6, 2012 at the Dillon Family Cemetery on Brooks Dairy Road.
In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Family so that they can present it to the Duke Children's Hospital.

Tracie Lee Turner Gentry 49 of 911 Frank Street died Sunday morning at Person Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. Born in Person County daughter of the late Charlie Richard Turner & Zona Meeks Turner in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Nellie Glancey & one brother David Russel Turner. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her husband Rob Gentry of the home, one daughter Kelli Nicole Horner of Timberlake, one son Brian Michael Horner of Roxboro, one step-daughter Brandy Carol Gentry of Hurdle Mills, three brothers Richard Alvin Turner of Raleigh, Charles Henry Turner of Leasburg, Billy Ray Turner of Leasburg, five sister Bonnie Ferrell of Vernon Hill, Va. Patsy Turner of Pfafftown, Donna Turner of Roxboro, Lisa Myers of Thomasville, René Davis of Roxboro.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday September 5, 2012 at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Janelle Horton Moore age 86 of 1181 Union Grove Church Road died Sunday morning at her home. She was born in Person County to the late William Boyd Horton and Zelia Whitfield Horton. She was wife of the late Rupert Ernest Moore. Mrs. Moore was of the baptist faith.
Surviving are four children, Betsy M. Crews, (husband, Ward), of Roxboro, Patricia M. Brown (husband, Billy), of Rougemont, Ted Moore of Hurdle Mills and Donna M. Hall of Burlington; Six grandchildren, David Brown, Tim Crews, Jill Stephens, Alan Moore, Beth Moore, and Amy Tomlinson; 9 great grandchildren one brother, Russell Horton and one sister, Dalled Mae Horton both of Hurdle Mills.
The family will receive friends 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Monday, September 3, 2012 at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at her home.
The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Troy Rust officiating. Burial will be in the Person Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Moore, David Brown, Tim Crews, Scott Stephens, Tyler Tomlinson, Gene Moore, Fred Tilley, Anthony Horton, and Darrell Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be the 7 great grandsons.

Glenn Cleveland Dillon Jr. "Matt"

Glenn Cleveland Dillon, Jr. "Matt" 79 of 907 Brooks Dairy Road died Saturday September 1, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Halifax County, Va. son of the late Glenn Cleveland Dillon, Sr. & Maude Neal Dillon, in addition to his parents Mr. Dillon was preceded in death by one brother Charles "Buck" Dillon, two sisters Pauline D. Honeycutt & Pansy D. Barrett. Mr. Dillon retired from farming after fourteen years, he was an accident free truck driver for fifty-one years and drove over four million miles during that time, he was also owner & operator of Dillon Trucking Company for fifteen years. Mr. Dillon was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a member for thirty-nine years of the Person County American Legion Post # 138. Mr. Dillon loved to play the guitar and sang in several bands. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife of over fifty-seven years Muriel Crabtree Dillon two sons Donnie Dillon (Cindy), Doug Dillon (Debbie), two daughters Debbie Shelton (Ken), Darlene Ellis (Mark) all of "Dillonsville" Roxboro, three brothers Berkley Dillon of Aiken, SC., Vincent Dillon of Greensboro, Donald Dillon of Denton, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren & two step-great-grandchildren, also survive all of "Dillonsville" Roxboro.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Monday September 3, 2012 at Brooks & White Funeral Home and other times at the home.
